I fixed the SQL file and overwrote the old zip file. Thank you Bobdt for catching that.

Here's the biggest bug in this release:

1) when you try and validate a submission it only enters the title and web address back into the database. This is because the insert statement is incorrect and I've been unsuccessful in trying to fix it.

If anyone is able to find and fix any bugs they find in the module please contact me and I'll include it in the zip file so everyone can benefit.

Great news Welcome to the community! I'll have Kazu (for the core) and Catzwolf (for the modules) contact you, and I'm sure we can work togther to make XOOPS a better CMS

Well, it does kick ass, but it is IE only, we did some tests on Mozilla, Konquerer and Safari.

Everyone of the failed at some point.

I hope XOOPS will have better x-compatability.

Hi everyone.

I just wanted to stop and say hello to everyone. Allow me to introduce myself, I am a part of a 3 man team that will be developing websites with XOOPS the next 3 years.

This is 3 full-time paid positions at a relatively large company.

We are doing a lot of module development and will eventually release our modules back to the community. Furthermore we are looking at places to improve the XOOPS core code.

We have so far found that the lack of a good html wysiwyg widget is a major roadblock for us. So we have/are developing a htmlArea based widget as a general replacement for the current editor (yes, it outputs bbcode).

Our biggest hope for now is to setup a positive dialog with the community and make sure that all/most of our improvements make it back into XOOPS so everyone can benefit.

But we will need to know who to talk to about our code changes (read: suggestions). As things are now we are maintaining our own source-tree in cvs and will try our outmost not to fork xoops.

Other than that we are glad to be here, and look forward to the coming months as our work gets really up to speed.

One of the sites that will eventually be replaced with a XOOPS installation ishttp://www.fyens.dk

Have a nice day
Naish

PS. We have also almost completed a complete translation of XOOPS to danish.

My team is developing a version of htmlArea that can be integrated into xoops.

It does html -> bbcode -> html conversion and is a drop in replacement for the XOOPS bbcode editor.

The editor works with Mozilla and IE, and we hope that it could become the default editor (with a fallback option to the current editor).

We plan on doing an alpha release in a week or two.

In XOOPS you can set description and keywords that (i believe) is used on EVERY "page".

Used this way it's better NOT to use meta-tags at all.
Is there no way to set separate meta-info on separate modules. This way it would work.

If I could build a "page" with a module and some blocks and set meta-info on that "page".

Maybee this ought to go to "wish-list" but at the same time it is a question. Is there some way i could set description and keywords that would actually make SENCE?

Hi Wingz, read my last post...https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?viewmode=thread&topic_id=11941&forum=4&post_id=48954#48954

The problem is solved but you must remove manualy that from the sql file and after all work.

Another little bug is....

1) A normal user submit an new "business" from the submit of the menu realy not all the info are realy posted but only the name of company for all the other info is show only " , " but if you post by admin panel no problem all work.

2) An submission of an normal user are waiting the "accept" of the administrator, when you accept the sistem reply with an error and that "business" stay in waiting dont go in confirmed mode.

3) in the form of submission there is the address of the company after the city, state, zip, ecc... city state zip is all in 1 line call "City".

Some good update for xdirectory...
1) An search box only for this dir.
2) User owner example Jack is an registred user and post the "Jack Company" info in the xdir, but only Jack (or the Admin/Webmaster) can modify that info not all registred user
3) The possiblity of different level of post axample an "registred user" post into of xdir an "business" but he can post only some info the "registred user plus" can put 3 picture in the detail and there is an form for the contact mail / request info

OK this post is long I dont want bother.... hehehehe...

To be continued...

Bob

(P.S. Sorry for my bad eng.)

Just searched the winamp forums and the only interesting thing I've found was this link:

http://www.freedomaudio.com/

I guess you have to get this into a block by yourself but I do not know how to get the links into a file as variables.

Hopefully it is of any use.

Please read this thread:https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?viewmode=thread&topic_id=11941&forum=4&post_id=48954#48954

Although the original thread was related to the addresses module, halfway 'bobdt' started posting Reply-questions about the xdirectory module (help xdirectory install)

He encountered the same problems and in the end he'd found a solution.

Grtz., Shine
