Directory Listing is already denied in .htaccess
what i was looking for was a way that prevent users that are not logged on in my XOOPS-site, from downloading files (if they should happend to know the filename, guess it or somehow leech it).

could I use Basic Authentication and add username and password to the url that links to the files?

On my site I have restricted the downloadpage (module) for anonomous visitors and only registered users can reach it.

But what prevents anyone from accessing the files by adressing them directly - likehttp://myserver/files/file.exe ?

I want to protect the files-folder from anyone not logged in as a registered user. Can this be done?

(sorry about my poor english - in my own language I make a lot more sence ;)

The article blocks are side-by-side (center left/center right). The webring is center-center and is dipsplayed above - even though weigth is greater.

The webring block contains table-in-table... could this be a problem?

I just created a webbring-block on my startpage and set the weight of the block to 200 (wanted it at the center bottom of the page).

Even though recent articles and popular articles has weigts of 9 - the webbring-block appears above them.

It destroys the layout of my startpage. How can I force the block to the bottom?

Gratefull for any input on this.

Is there any sign of a meta-generator module (like in e-xoops) yet?
If not - is there a way to manualy add meta-tags that differ from page to page?

I closed down my site and turned on the error-repporting when two modules (downloads & adresses) stopped working (after replacing polls and spotligt with two hacks from "wellwine online").

After replacing the hacks with the original modules - all went back to normal. These notices you think is nothing to be bothered about?

I've tested some modules and then uninstalled them. After that I got problems with other modules. Most of those I fixed but does anybody got a hint about what I should do with theese errors?

In XOOPS you can set description and keywords that (i believe) is used on EVERY "page".

Used this way it's better NOT to use meta-tags at all.
Is there no way to set separate meta-info on separate modules. This way it would work.

If I could build a "page" with a module and some blocks and set meta-info on that "page".

Maybee this ought to go to "wish-list" but at the same time it is a question. Is there some way i could set description and keywords that would actually make SENCE?
