anyone know of any other wysiwyg that i can integrate? the feature that requires me to "add" formatted text is not so intuitive and i have to keep explaining it to users.

yep, it's true xoops' wysiwyg editor is just about the worst every conceived. however, it does work in all browsers.

if you don't mind using ie, download this one. it's the best i can find. very nice.

if anyone is adventurous enough to hack up formdhtmltextarea.php and add this in ... will probably experience an outpouring of love and affection from the entire XOOPS community.

anyone ... anyone?

My team is developing a version of htmlArea that can be integrated into xoops.

It does html -> bbcode -> html conversion and is a drop in replacement for the XOOPS bbcode editor.

The editor works with Mozilla and IE, and we hope that it could become the default editor (with a fallback option to the current editor).

We plan on doing an alpha release in a week or two.

FYI: I tried it with NN7, and it did NOT work.
