Normally you can uninstall a module by clicking the uninstall in the module admin. If you already deleted the files from the server with your FTP application, you will need to access your SQL database with PHP MyAdmin and then delete the tables manually.

In there you will find the tables that are used for XCGallery

xoops_xcgal_albums
xoops_xcgal_categories
xoops_xcgal_ecard
xoops_xcgal_pictures
xoops_xcgal_usergroups
xoops_xcgal_votes

You will need to select these tables and delete (drop) them

Good Luck

XCGallery always show same preview problem due to safe mode

I have XCGallery installed and it used to work fine. Recently I noticed that it always shows the same preview, no matter which thumbnail I click.

It is most likely due to the fact that I have switched the safe-mode OFF

I read the manual about safe mode and patched the init.inc.php file:
Quote:
Safe Mode:
If php runs on your server the safe mode enabled, you can't use xcGallery as it is, but there is a workaround. I haven't test this option, but it works only! then the safe mode configuration is faultily. To try this out, open the xcgal/include/init.inc.php go to line 36 and uncomment "//define('SILLY_SAFE_MODE',1);" (delete the slashes) ans save it now go and try it, may be you have luck.

Still I always get the same preview.

Any suggestions are welcome

I was also looking for a shopping module in Xoops, but searching around does not reveal any developments any time soon.

I ended up just setting up a site with Zencart stand alone.

Hopefully someone will bring some integration with XOOPS in the future.

One big problem with Agenda-x is that it does not support input from the Macintosh.

If a user on Macintosh adds an event, the feedback says the event is added, but in fact it is not....

Has anybody been able to solve this issue?

Hello MyAds gurus,

Would it be possible to have different expiration times for different ads?

It would be nice if the administrator could decide whether some ads will expire in two weeks and others in a few months.

Has anybody thought of this and managed to put a pull down menu to select your own expiration date?

It would also be nice if the administrator could extend expirations.

Looking for a good weather module, then have a look at

snx-weather
snx weather download

It has all the function of MS-weather, but the developer is still working on improvements...

I have tested extensively on Macintosh since I could not post any events. I have tried FireFox, Safari and Internet Explorer.

It is impossible to add events using FireFox or Safari.

Only on Internet Explorer it seems to be possible.

It is great to see that someone is working on a new weather module. I have tried out the module, but there are a few issues.

3 problems
1 I have installed the module, but there is no module showing up in the admin page.

2 When opening the snx weather menu, you get a map of Europe with weather report of mont pelier.

3 The search weather in another city does not work

It would be great if this module could be improved, since there is no weather module that can supply the weather around the world.
(MS-Weather no longer works, due to copyright issues with Yahoo)

Looking forward to improvements...

Even if FireFox is not as good as IE, do you think it could run the WYSIWYG editor?

I was adding some event using Mozila FireFox Browser (http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/)into my Agenda-X 2.2.0

To my surprise the editor came up with the spaw editor window, with all the functionality to do wysiwyg editing.

Then I tried to edit articles in WF-sections, but the spaw editor did not show up.

Then I tried to spoof by installing user agent switcher ,

so that the browser identifies as Internet Explorer:
http://useragentswitcher.mozdev.org/

Then the Spaw editor pops up in WF-sections, but the input screen is blocked. ;-(

It might be possible to get it working though, since WYSIWYG works in Agenda-x
