[Shameless Plug Stars here ]

I haven't done this for a while, so here's a shameless plug. http://www.UltranetDomains.com is completely geared towards CMS systems like Xoops. We have 24/7 telephone support. If you need help with setting up your hosting, you can CALL US on the PHONE. Our prices change day by day based on volume of sales so click on http://www.ultranetdomains.com, or the banner below to get our latest pricing grid.

Also, we have FREE hosting with domain registration. It is ad supported (you will have a banner at the top of every page with free hosting). Or free/ad supported hosting is still a great way to try out XOOPS while you are developing a site, or experimenting with different CMS systems.

Our Economy Plan, starting at about $7/month (paid monthly, not yearly) includes:

• 50 Email Forwards
• Forums, Blogging, Photos

http://www.UltranetDomains.com is a proud supporter of Xoops. Check out a couple of the websites we help maintain at http://www.trianglebirdclub.org, http://www.tri-citycorvetteclub.org, http://www.templeofthejediforce.org

I am using http://www.godaddy.com/
from last 3 months. they are quite good with price and service. You get most of the things pre-configured.

You can get a pre-install XOOPS core. at present they are giving v3.1. I am new to both XOOPS and web-hosting but it took just couple of hours to upload my site for the 1st time.

I would recommend anybody to use GoDaddy.com

You can visit my site : http://www.AquariumHomeCare.com

Surely you mean 2.3.1?

Not to rain on Deepak267's parade, but I warn everyone to stay away from GoDaddy if your using shared hosting. I havent tried dedicated and wont since we are a non-profit organization. Looking at his site, its just as slow as ours hosted there currently. We have had major issues with lag time. Page loading takes anywhere from 5 seconds or more depending on the module. My site is http://www.vmoa.net. Currently we are looking at other shared hosting sites that are smaller and can handle our site. We dont have much traffic due to being a closed community, but GoDaddy cant give us speedy refresh in their shared hosting.

Just my 2 cents....I will chime in once we find a new host.....
