This was baffling, the theme does not allow you to highlight
text. I believed this to be a function within the theme that
blocked cutting and copying text...

I turned off java in my browser, thinking it was java code,
without effect, still couldn't highlight text. It didn't matter
if I was viewing a a web page or editing a news page.

I finally found the source of the problem.

Lines 107 and 108 of style.css sets the selection style to be
the same as normal text. These settings makes it look like
you can't highlight, which was not the case. You could,
you just couldn't see what was highlighted. It made me
believe that cut and copy were disabled, which was not
true.

Commenting out lines 107, and 108 reverts to normal
selection highlighting, cut and copy work just fine.

Found the answer. There is no submit button, at least on
my install. Authorized users can add new posts at

mysite.com/modules/mywords/admin/posts.php?op=new

Takes them to the admin panel with limited authority,
where the user can add a mywords post.

blanktheme disables copy - would like to enable

I'm looking for a theme with bottom blocks, where the block
sections are well defined. What I mean is columns are boxed
in to where it is clearly defined where 1 column ends and
another begins, other than the default theme.

The only thing I've found that comes close to working is
blanktheme, except that it won't let me highlight or copy.

Any recommendations on a wide theme, 3 columns, with
bottom blocks, or how to enable copy on blank theme ?

Thanks

Test it and see - as I said - works for me under 3 Xoops versions and 2 different languages - isn't it enough for you for "a go" ?

No, having more than one person saying it works for them would be a go.

I don't program and use caution before hacking code. I was
wondering if anyone else had any success. Is that okay with you

I installed Mywords a while back, haven't played with it
much, but I can't find a post option except in the admin
panel.

User/authors, can't find a link or a command that will allow
to create posts. Is this just my computer not being smart
enough, or is this a Mywords feature ?

Did you set editors under
Control Panel/Preferences/System Module Settings ?

OR "Editors available in articles submission forms" under
Global permission settings in publisher/admin/permissions.php ?

Killed the database entries that refer to it and
change the admin theme, typed the url in the address bar, still a blank screen. Typed the url /admin.php, was redirected to url/modules/rmcommon, and a white screen. Overwrote the rmcommons on 1 of 2 sites, same results. Something is still in there.

I'm not concerned, have recreated 1 site, working on the next. Mostly import/export from db, after installing modules. I'm just sharing what seems to be a problem... hopefully one that is fixed in the new version. But, I would hate to see someone go through this on a production site.

I've reinstalled rmcommons :) I really like it. The forum and rapid docs are very nicely done, won't run without rmcommons, and the admin side is elegant.

Thanks again for the help.
