The only problem I encountered were a few mirrors not working properly (yet)!

Then again I tried a few other mirrors and found one working, no registrations or whatsoever...

btw it was the Chapel Hill mirror (Reminds me of Sonic Youth )

Serious NewBB upgrade problem

Ok gents, I have a big problem and I don't see a solution, or the reason it was done.

I'm currently upgrading someone from v1.3 to 2.05 and my client is using the private forum permissions as groups, and it seems that NewBB doesn't do that anymore, it instead does only individual users. Why was this change and is there a work around? This guy has 11,000 members, 5000 are premium members that have access to private forums based on their group setting. I can't go through and set these all by hand. HELP!!!!

I clicked on the link and some kind of form appeared with questions in a language I don't know, but managed to fill in the form, came on the homepage, clicked on an item and saw that I first had to register.
If you want people to review your work, than it is maybe a good idea that people can get easy access to your work.

Xoops Gallery, blank random image

I'm using XOOPS Gallery and have a minor problem:

I've setup 1 main album with the purpose of category. In this album there are a few nested albums which are the actual albums with images.

When clicking on Gallery in the main menu it shows a picture out of the nested album for the main Album.

In the random images block it once and a while doesn't show a picture (.../modules/xoopsgallery/cache/albums//)

I guess this is caused by not having an image in the main album...

How can I solve this problem?

Whenever you get a Blank Page while browsing around Xoops, the first step to solve the problem is go to "System" -> "Preferences" -> "General Settings" and turn PHP Debug Mode on. If you are unable to get into the administration panel try to follow the steps outlined in this article:

To enable PHP Debug Mode. After PHP Debug mode is enabled, try going to the same page again, now you should get a list of errors that occurred in your page. Post these errors (and the pages they occurred in) and we can begin debugging what the problem is

My preferred way is to put the files on my server in the directory e.g. xoops-2.0.3. Then I will make a symbolic link 'xoops' that points to xoops-2.0.3.

You don't want to put things too deeply, or your website address becomes ugly...

http://somewhere.net/xoops/xoops-2.0.3/

(unless you are able to use e.g. apache mod_rewrite to clean things up).

Just my thoughts...

I cannot duplicate your error... works fine here. If you continue to have problems, remove the comment lines from the end of the .sql file and it should work.

i.e. the lines:

# Dumping data for table 'mantis_user_table'
#

I have been looking, with no luck, to find a hack for the newbb module.

A button, link or whatever, that can mark every post as read so that U don't have to stat all over when you are on another PC.
