Reviews?
The words, "Final and Completion" are redundant, if its final, its complete, if its complete its final (tee-hee)

The use of the word, "Damn" in an advertisement doesn't draw a good crowd, same as the joke about "someone touching your ass in a crowded elevator" Exactly what is the title and purpose of your site?... f'instance, if I do a google search for "ass joke".. would your site pop up? I dunno, its buried pretty deep in the eclypto.com doman... What is an eclypto anyway? The site doesn't say..

You've used the XOOP tools pretty good, the site looks busy, gots poetry, jokes, rolling text and flashy iconish things (too small to really make out though).

No harm in making a site that appeals to yourself and friends and its no foul to put whatever you want on it.

I may revisit the site or add it to my bookmarks if you tell me what an "eclypto" is... sounds like a description of a person that can't resist picking things up that don't belong them...

But I have installed 2.0.9.1, 2.0.9.1b, 2.0.9.1 uh.. no wait a minute.. I didn't get to the c version yet.. I know its tough releasing a new(er) patch or fix.. Hard to get the choir to sing on the same page and all.. but yesterday's tune was.... uh... ouch!

I just wanna get my graphics to upload inside the upload folder instead of the ROOT.. I don't know diddly about PHP programming... Can someone help?

Santa,
Please bring me this present I need so badly - If it is already here, eat the cookies and drink the milk.. thank you.

When I receive an email of Notification of New Posts in a Thread its only links and an invite to visit the site where the posts are.. Thats nice, but wouldn't it be much nicer if:

The post itself was sent and a message saying, "You asked us to send this to you, if you don't want any more.. click here.. if you want to reply to the post... click here.
That last "click here" would bring you to the message board and.. (here comes another Christmas wish)... provide you with a logon prompt instead of the, "you can't see this message unless you logon" as it does now..

The notification is already being sent, why can't it contain the text of the post? - A link inviting you to visit a message forum should, could work just like the registration verification message (ie... validate a known user because it was a known user who asked to be notified)

Ok, please wrap all this up in pretty paper and dash it out the door, Christmas is approaching...

Click here to ignore the last of the message.

i think, look for something similar to this in the theme.html, theme_blockcenter_r.html etc etc

find: class="blockTitle"><{$block.title}>

and remove that line from those files, and i think that should do the trick..

Thank you for the help, I'm sure you must think I'm #1 idiot with the slash pages.. Heck, I had to edit the message three times at least to get it right.. I'm just not handy when it comes to these things..

Would something like, "if blocktitle = "" then $block.title = (whatever the rest of the the block boundry should be)"... That way if I entered a blank title in the block editor it would just put in a chunk of whatever was supposed to be there.. ?

Thank you again for the quick response... I'm really enjoying the Xoop.. and trying my best to come up with a site that looks half as good as the rest of yours..

I didn't know where to post this, I hope someone can help. What I would like to do is produce a block that doesn't have a space or part of the subject.. just a line all around the durn thing.. here's what I get if I leave no title on the block:
Resized Image

As you can see, a portion of the blue topic thing is there where I would like to have a grey line.. If I use a different theme, the blue may vanish, but it leaves a blank..

Also, if I put no subject in the block.. here's what the admin block looks like.. :
Resized Image

How do you make a block that has a name instead of Custom HTML and can have a name (that doesn't appear in the title of the box shown on the page)?

Anyone?.. suggestions?.. please help.. thank you.

Yeah, I have already report this and now, someone is redesigning the administration control center.

I hope it will be nicer and clean.

You posted that back in August, has anyone come up with even a work-around for this problem?

Can't reach database

When a hosted web server's MySQL database server goes down... its a mess!

I'm sure everyone has seen this message from time to time, and this subject has probably been discussed before, I can't find a thread about it.. so, bear with me:
--------------------------------------------------------
This page cannot be displayed due to an internal error.

If you are the administrator of this site, please visit the XOOPS Troubleshooting Page for assistance.

Error [Xoops]: Unable to connect to database in file D:\hshome\estacey\skilltechcomputers.com\class\database\databasefactory.php line 34
---------------------------------------------------------
First of all, I don't think the user who cannot reach my site should see, my entire database location to include the name of the php and line number to edit... Thats pretty unprofessional, I'd like to clean that up but I'm not the smartest programmer on the planet. Please help there...
Secondly, any Admin running a site should already know where to do to do the troubleshooting, but this message is also telling visitors where to go to "get involved" in the troublshooting and repair process.. this leads to visitors actually telling you how to try and fix your own site... >ouch!<
What I would greatly appreciate here is some note like, "Can't reach the server, if it has been more than 15 minutes, please contact the administrator at blah, blah email address" or some such thing.. Heck, even a standard HTML page showing an ERROR would be better than what happens now..

Please.. someone.... help.. thank you.

You use the default Templates, which can´t be edit,

go to the cloned templates and now it looks as descripted.

If you want to use this templateset be sure to select this templateset in the XOOPS General settings.

Thanks for trying to help Predator however, that wasn't the answer to the question I posed when I started the thread. I hoped it helped the guy who said, "I have the same problem" only he didn't... have the same problem.

"What is supposed to happen when you press the VIEW button while editing (not default) templates?

Is it true that nobody really reads the questions posted here and tries to help confused newbies?

If not here, where? - I asked a question two days ago and nobody even acknowledges that its here, would you call the helpful and friendly?
