I think he's referring to the problem shown here.

Hmmm ... I'm thinking maybe a "form to email" script you can find somewhere, customize it to your liking, then wrap it into a custom block, or TinyContent, or one of the other content modules. Haven't tried anything like that yet, but that might work. Heck, that's what I would try first if I was gonna do something like that. But, then again, I am not the brightest bulb in the chandelier ... so be warned. lol

Edit: I seem to recall that these scripts are often called "form mailers" on the script sites.

I'm wondering if it might be firewall-related. Some firewalls can play havoc with things like logging in, admin functions, forum posting and other things. Have a look at this link and see if it may help. Cheers!

I've never experienced (1) and (2), but I am completely with you on (3). Modifying by ID numbers is a bit taxing at times.

At first, I thought my problems with iMenu and MultiMenu not showing up as installable mods in 2.0.6 might be related to file upload problems with CuteFTP as well. So I brought up the archive files through cPanel, un-RARed or un-zipped or un-whatever'ed them right into the modules folder retaining their proper folder content, being on the lookout for any nesting problems (folders within folders within folders in the archive).

Even though everything within each module's folder looked proper, i.e., like every other mod I have installed, neither will show up in 2.0.6 as installable mods.

Someone posted in another thread that there may be various versions about, or perhaps incomplete versions running around, but I have no idea where to find working ones. I sure would like to get one of these to work in 2.0.6 myself. They are the only two modules I cannot get to install, even though both installed in 2.0.5 for me.

I'll make it unanimous. I have been using xcGallery for a while and can happily report having no problems with it, or at least none that I can remember anyway. Seems to work very smoothly for my users as well.

I did that at my site. I have a custom block visible only to anonymous users that they see when they first hit the site and have not logged in. It is at the top of the page with a "0" weight. Then after they log in they become "registered" and that block is replaced by a block that is visible only to registered users.

Did any of that make sense? I am beginning to wonder myself, lol.

Like Sol, I can't get either iMenu or MultiMenu to work on my site with 2.0.6. They worked with 2.0.5, though. My problem is that neither even shows up as an installable mod. They just are not there. I will try MultiMenu 1.1 if I can find it because I am not sure offhand which version I have been trying.

These two menu systems are highly recommended as solutions to a lot of people's menu problems. But many can't get either MultiMenu or iMenu to work on their installations and others seem to run them fine. The answers to people's posts about what to do when they can't get them to work always seem to be (a) it works fine for me, or (b) you must be doing something wrong.

If the problem is simply that there are too many versions about, then perhaps we could figure out which ones are viable and post them somewhere. It does appear to be a problem that has surfaced with 2.0.6 judging by the posts in this matter. I'd try but I can't even get them to show up, lol.

Unless E-xoops has a 2.0.6, I am guessing you are not talking about a simple upgrade from one build to another. XOOPS does have a 2.0.6 so I am going to further guess that you are talking about changing from E-xoops to Xoops, which are not the same thing.

Wish I could help, because XOOPS is definitely the way to go, but I have no clue about anything E-xoops; I have honestly never even looked at it. When you do make the change, though, I think you will be pleased.

I've asked this very same question at least twice and the only answer I routinely get is that I probably put it in the wrong folder or did something else wrong. None of this is true because (a) I put it in the modules folder like I do every other module and (b) it worked in 2.0.5 and I haven't touched a thing. I have the same problem with MulitMenu as well. These are the only two modules I have had this problem with.
