They have static IP's to their servers.

For the hosted plan it'd look like this:

that'd lead to your public_html/site

24HostingNOW delivers reliable, high-professional webhosting with...

ROFL - WTH is "high-professional"?!
took 30 seconds to see that this IS a reseller host! Owned by L.A. NET ONLINE LTD - whoever they are. "Uses" a datacenter. C'mon - gimme a break!

I remember coming across this host in my travels - I looked at about 50 before settling on Surpass. There's only one other I'd even consider - and that's Jaguar.

This guy's intentions seem pretty clear to me - danMAN = 24hosting?

I've been with surpass for several months on a shared plan. Their support staff is fantastic, questions are answered quickly, forums community is friendly and helpful, prices are sweet - 2gig space and 30 gig bandwidth for $48 year.

I missed the HOSTDIME association when I researched them but they are who they say they are. I checked addresses, chamber of commerce and such - felt them to be legit.

I'm very happy there and would reccomend them without reservation.

my primary site located there is XOOPS powered:

http://collinsweb.biz

Oh, btw - regarding the website for surpass - I think it's relatively new - they had just migrated their forums and such late last year I think - there's archived stuff somewhere on the site but I forget where it was - and I'd imagine any new site may be prone to some burps here and there. They are very receptive to suggestions/input and respond quickly. I'm sure if you had mentioned the areas you had problems with on their site, they'd have addressed it.

If it's make ya happy, just send me the airfare and I'll personally go down to Orlando and tour the datacenter and report back my findings -

Question RE: Web Links Module

Greetings!

Sorry if this has been discussed and answered previously, but after about 15 minutes of searching thru posts, wiki and whatnot I've gien up.

My question is regarding screenshots posted within web links in the Web Links module. Are they actually supposed to open the link URL?! I had hoped that when the screenie was clicked that a full view of it would open.

I can right click and "view picture" in mozilla but ie 6 - no option to do so. Besides, many peeps don't want/know how to do that anyhow.

So when one clicks on an image in the links area (included via the dropdown screenshot in the link config area), should it open a full view of the screenie or the url of the link itself?

http://www.collinsweb.biz/modules/mylinks/

The link in question is on the first page if there's any questions. 'Tis the only one with a screenie!

Thanks.

I'm not familiar with that one but I've just started using w.bloggarhttp://wbloggar.com/ and it couldn't be any easier to post. There's a plugin that goes with the SharpReader aggregator that kinda plops selected feeds right into the blogger, although some cleaning of the html is necessary b4 you hit the publish button.

[edit]Doh! Just clicked the link and realized yours was a linux proggy.

Pretty sure that myAds is it as far as a module proper goes.

Why not install Noah's as a separate application and simply place a link or use iMenu to lead to it. You don't get the advantage of being able to sign in via XOOPS that way though :(

I had used myAds previously and found it to be rather nice.

Good luck!

I discovered the solution to my problem - it was the theme causing the misplacement of blocks (TechThemConfig apparently sets side by sides at the top of page overriding the setting in the control panel).

When I switch to XOOPS default all is as I set, when I do one of the TTC themes, blocks head to top!

LOL - such a simple answer. I've mentioned this over on their boards - this is such a sweet mod I'll live with it! :)

Problems with SquirrelMail module

Greetings all!

I've been having a bit of trouble with the squirrel mail pluging. What happens is i log in on my account, sign in on squirrel mail and all seem fine. Then when I navigate about the site through a couple of other modules, or expecially when I go to the Admin page, when I try to return to Squirrel Mail module, i get a blank page. The address bar at top of browser says it's going to the login page (I don't know if this matters). I turned on the various debug options and the only info I got was from the phpDebug:
Notice
: A session had already been started - ignoring session_start() in file modules/sqmail/src/webmail.php line 42
Notice
: A session had already been started - ignoring session_start() in file modules/sqmail/include/validate.php line 61
This among a couple other complaints regarding the TechTheme template I'm using. BTW I've tried this under different templates with the same results.

I'm using XOOPS 2.0.6.

I did try the devs board for the plugin but there's been no acknowledgement of my post for almost a week. :(

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
