Moding a theme

I am trying to make changes to Excite Taste theme.

At this point all that I am trying to do is change the forgin text on the top and bottom menu bars. I have changed to english, but for some reason when i upload to my server it continues to be the forgin text.

I have tried to veiw it from many PC's on different networks.

Any help would be apprciated.

Currently that is my test site.

Eventually Pipptek.com will become my business site.

What I find really weird is when I do a view source on my site, I see the forgin text, but if I download the theme.html file from my site I see the English that I replaced the forgin text with.

when changing the theme.html, you need to set the "Update module templates from themes/yourtheme folder" setting ON in system admin -> preferences -> general settings

Thanks both of you that did the trick. CAn someone explain why i would not want that on at all times?

Because it recompiles the Smarty template, which theme.html is, to php code on every load. This process is not very efficient as it converts the HTML-like template into a PHP document through the Smarty engine.

So once your theme.html is as you want it, turn the setting off again and the template will only be recompiled once and for all on next request.
