LOL
Thanks for pointing that out.
Yes as I recall they have a dedicated server that they are reselling off of or a resellers account can't tell which exactly.

I would like to also point out that Surpass while they have cheaper prices they don't however have as many support options as StrikeHosting.

Can you elaborate on what you are referring to?

I am trying to help them get some customers and such so as to ensure their future.

After all without customers a company goes under.

New Hosting company named StrikeHosting recently opened.

Check it outhttp://www.strikehosting.com/

I have a with 500+mb of files and roughly around 60mb of SQL data and they moved all my domains for me. Even updated my SQL for XOOPS so that I didnt loose any data during the move.
They update their servers often as well.

They are running the latest version of PHP and MySQL:
PHP version 4.3.7
MySQL version 4.0.18-standard

Contact US module trouble

HI,

I don't know why but the contact us module does not include the vitals of the person using it.
Like ip of user and web browser
The IP address itself if anything should be included in the email that they send so that you have the ip address that they are using to access the module. I can't recall if it includes the time as well but that would be nice to have although it would I guess be included in the headers of the message itself.

Thanks for the quick reply.

The message only shows occasionally. So it is not a constant thing and often time a quick F5 will correct it.

The host I have limits the MySQL connections to 25 and so I think it is hitting that limit and can't find the database.

Anyway to fix that? I do see where there are roughly around 25 processes active.

I don't know why but I keep getting this error message:

This page cannot be displayed due to an internal error.

If you are the administrator of this site, please visit the XOOPS Troubleshooting Page for assistance.

Error [Xoops]: Unable to connect to database in file class/database/databasefactory.php line 34

=======================================
Please note that this is not a constant problem but one that keeps popping up. How can I fix this?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the help.

I checked and it was set to use the IPB registration system and as I recall there is a problem with it currently. I made the change to it so it would use XOOPS registration now. Hopefully that will help.

I activated the account for you though now.

I did find it odd that notification of new user registration was on to the webmaster group but I never recieved any notices.
HMmmmmmm

Hi,

I was curious if someone would help run my test site through the paces.
The location is www.besthvac.com/test/

As you can see it is the XOOPS 2.06 with the IPB module

I am hoping that the WF-Sections module will be released soon as well. So I can check it out.

The things I am trying to verify are that the autologin function works.
And that the mail full forum text feature works also.
Just registering will help me to verify that the registration system is working.

Thanks in advance!

You have to be joking.
Xaraya and XOOPS are very different even though they accomplish many of the same tasks.

One of the most notable differences is that there is NO core module for a forum for Xaraya.

Me personally I attribute my high search engine rankings to XOOPS.

I have managed to secure top spots on several search engines and I thing it must be something to do with XOOPS and how it handles keywords. Google never has a problem traversing my site nor does Inkitomi or Slurp.
