For your background, do a find and replace of color #10314A. (Replacing only the ones you need. There are a total of 5 references to this color in your .css file that I found.)

As for the rest, I didn't have time to look. Loading the theme or .css file in Dreamweaver may help you locate what needs to be changed. You should be able to download a trial version if you do not already own a copy. (www.macromedia.com)

Cheers

To answer your question, if you are still using an older version, then yes it is still affected untill you apply a fix. This is the reason for fixes and upgrades.

I'm sorry you don't feel that you can upgrade because of your unique situation with your current version, however it is a choice that you have made and a resposibiliy only you can control. Not only is your site at risk, your host is at risk as well. Although your friend is a great help in pointing this out to you, other more dubious characters will exploit this vulnerability.

As a courtesy, I should also mention that if your host provider finds that you are running scripts that are a potential threat to their own internal server security, they may approach you on this matter and ask that you do something about it, or worse, temporarily close your account until the problem has been rectified.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not harping at you, just pointing out other things that need to be taken into consideration. I empathise with your situation in wishing for an upgrade script to make the changes you need. Hopefully you will be able to find a resolution to your particular set of circumstances.

Cheers

Thanks for pointing this out. Those of us who use cPanel are aware of this. Also, I should mention, that if your host has not updated their cPanel installation, you may not have the latest version of XOOPS on your site. Check the version number in your cPanel Fantastico Configuration.

One major drawback to installing XOOPS through cPanel that I found was that I was unable or not allowed to install XOOPS into my root directory. This forced me to name a folder called XOOPS (or what ever). For some this is ok, but if you are particular about your layout like me, you may wish to install XOOPS on your own so that you can have it open up when people type www.yourdomain.com instead of yourdomain.com/<folder>

Another problem I should make people aware of is that if you do go with the Fantasico installation, some file permissions are not granted to you, the domain administrator/owner. Fantastico (ala host provider server) becomes the owner of certain files and directories preventing you from applying some (but not all) updated files when the need arises.

One way to circumvent this problem if you should run into it, is that you will have to manually delete the files you wish to upload for updating your XOOPS Installation. If you simply try to overwrite your files, you may get an error, depending on your hosts configuration.

A self install will avoid this minor annoyance as well. Either way, the choice is yours to make, as both methods are equally effective at allowing you to use Xoops.

Btw WikiWonk, The image you are trying to display in this post is in a protected folder and anyone who opens this thread will get a login prompt for .htaccess. You may want to consider editing your post and using a diferent image url, or removing it. Just a heads up.

Have you tried the newest version of Freecontent? (2.9)

It now better handles internal domain links better and integrates them into your site. Beware of external site links, the site will load "inside" your XOOPS site. It's a step in the right direction for now.

Sorry about that. One thing I would do in your case, although it is a very dirty fix, is to replace the files from 2.05.1 back to the ones used by 2.05. Upload your files, then re-apply the patch.

Pretty sick, but one out of the box solution I can come up with.

Unzip the .tar.gz file on your computer, then try to upload the .tar file.

Found a small thing that I'm hoping you can help me fix.

So far the module works great!! I can finally contain all my content in one easy to use spot.

However, external sites will open my XOOPS site and this is less then desireable.

For instance, if I add a link to go to google, it shows up and opens in my home page as http://www.yoursite.com/modules/freecontent/index.php?path=http://www.google.com/

Is there a parameter or setting where I can tell the module to not parse the url through your code for internet address's that I specify.

So far, this is a giant leap for the module and I really do like it!

Cheers!
