Xoops 2.0.1
XoopsGallery 1.3.3
PHP 4.0.x

The makers of Gallery recommend upgrading to 1.4.0 before migrating, otherwise the new server won't be able to read the old album files. Only problem is.. how do you upgrade since XoopsGallery is a modded version of Gallery???

Thx

Re: xoops 2 and Opera... becomes and oooops

I agree with aerialis - I loaded the site in Opera 7.2, Opera 6.05, IE 6, IE 5.5, and Mozilla 1.5 and it rendered similarly across all the above. On a side note, in IE 5.5 the minical block breaks out of its cell and bleeds over into the right column.

I was halfway through enhancing newbb for XOOPS version 1 and I was thinging about continuing this for XOOPS version 2.

Most of the work is there and could be easily hacked into newbb for xoops2 but it would take me a while. I may try and get a few people to help me on this one.

Catz, I would like to let you know that we waited for you to release your newbb2(Xoops 2.1.0) for three months. Would you tell us how many percent in your remainder and when will you release it in your estimation. If you finished it and now code for upgrade part, would you release it first and release the upgrade later?

Also, if possible, would you stop browsing forum and making answer for anything else before you complete it.

you do not need to login for admin control panel, you login on your top page and then go to administration menu. once logged in you will need to call up your admin.php so use your site/modules/system/admin.php you should get your preferences menu. go to groups and set admin permissions. if this does not work, not sure what you do. hope it helps.

Re: JusT install XOOPS

before you can access the administration panel to your website, you need to login from your home page. After you do so, the login block will change to the User Menu block. In this block you will see a link entitled "Administration Menu" Click this link and you will be directed to your administration panel for your website.

Thats Okay but where and how? I want this module to pass all levels of certification and strictly follow the XOOPS core structure. Please guide me.

I found the download for the module. It was listed as version 1.01. Is this the latest version?

When the user clicks on the link for Faculty from the main page, I want them to go to the page which will display all the faculty. This page however uses a php script to access a MySQL db and pulls information from a couple of tables. Would I put that script in an "Article"? I experimented a little and found that the "Article" section produces another link. I really don't want that. I want the user to go directly to the list of faculty members, not to another link which then goes to the faculty page. This would seem an unnecessary extra step.

Thanks.

Thanks Herko. Since I'm not a php programmer, do you know by any chance a simple tool to convert dates back and forth?

Cheers, JCMoriaud
