I just thought I would toot the XOOPS horn here a little. Novell has opened a public site for developers which is based on XOOPS (RC 3.05 with what appears to be numerous enhancements). We're in contact with the developers at Novell since they have graciously offer to send us their enhancements so that we can determine if they would be helpful or useful for XOOPS 2.
A blurb from the Novell site: Novell Forge is a place where developers can form communities to share ideas, experiences, news, documentation, tips, source code and configuration files about their individual projects within a secure environment. To get started, open an account and add your project to Forge.

Hello all. I have created four Menu icons for use with phpMyAdmin, eCal, and C-Jay Content following the howto by xoopldap. Of course, he's a lot better at it than I am.
However, they are more than just functional. The images are supplied in PNG format, which means that you can redesign them if you choose. Two of the icons were designed for phpMyAdmin, and one for each of the others, using Macromedia Fireworks. They can be downloaded here. Enjoy!
I have re-worked my private forum hack for Xoops 2.0. Since mike [mvandam] has the notifications in the core, there is no need for a monitoring hack so this one only contains the alterations to private forum behaviors.
FreeContent v2.01 with Smarty, Xoops comments and Tutorial
FreeContent but modernized with Smarty, Xoops comments feature, Search and also a Tutorial for using it. The Data base structure is not changed so you can backup your settings and reuse it.
CJcontent would be more appropriate if you want an editor to be built-in but I just can't stop using FreeContent as I am so accustomed to it. And I release it as a nostalgic alternative
This is to announce the publication of an independent review of XOOPS 2.0.1 in the Which Nuke for You? technology series at All-American Web Portals. The article was released earlier this morning in conjunction with the opening of an XOOPS demonstration site at this location, and was published here and on our main site.
The XOOPS Project developer and user community are to be commended for this new release. We have enjoyed putting it through its paces. Several modules were also tested, but not reviewed. Plans to review these modules and others have been put in the queue for publication at a later date.
All XOOPS supporters are invited to review both the article and the demo site, as comments are always welcomed.
