I like PHP Edit myself. It has a built in debugger. You can run the script from the panel so you can monitor what it does. There is a reliable syntax checker, and it is fairly inexpensive. It also has a 30 day free trial:

How do I get eclipse to make php files? I tried searching for phpesclipse but no luck.....

I got mine from sf.net here.

Also make sure you get the Eclipse version as posted on this linky.

Eclipse is the best editor I have seen so far, better than dreamweaver. Did not work with Zend yet.

To get phpEclipse module to work, first install Eclipse, then browse to the update menu: Help -> Software Updates -> Find and Install -> Search for new feautures to install

Then add a new site remote site to use:
http://phpeclipse.sourceforge.net/update/releases

And phpEclipse is installed

Just to clarify. The Eclipse web edition all-in-one release can be downloaded here for the Windows version.
