Hi maxout,

tabs are available in the latest version of new 1.44. Not sure about the previous versions. Should find that feature under the preferrence section of the news module. If you can't find it post and later tonight I'll dig around for it.

@maxout,

You should find the tab feature in the recent news block. Go to your blocks admin and edit the recent news block. Change the dislpay from classic to tabbed. Since I don't have access to a 2.0.13 site at the moment I can't walk you through.

If you are using News 1.44 once you add a "recent news" block to the center of your page you can set it to have tabbed subjects. From admin section goto Blocks > List all blocks find your Recent News block and click edit. There is a pull down that says "Display" with two choices. Classic and Tabbed, choose tabbed. Just below that you can change the color of the summary line that will show up under the tabs.

If you want to change the style of the tabs (the look) then from admin goto Preferences > News > Module Preferences. Toward the bottom of that page you'll see a section called "Select the skin to use in tabs" You have 8 choices for the style of tabs that will be displayed on your site. I use Plain myself, goes well with my geometric_red theme.

Hope this helps

Greets, I had been searching for awhile so Im digging up this old post.

I've had the news module 1.44 for quite some time,
I see the options you all speak of.

But I cant get the suckker to display navigation at all.

Is it possible it's conflicting with a spotlight module we are using?

We are currently trying to work on a new theme and it occured to us that there has been this great feature all along.

But no matter what we do we cant get it to display..at all.
The entire block is nada...
I took a look at the template..and it also appears there is nothing different in it/perhaps our news update went awry? (yet the block admin does not represent that)

Yeah Same thing on my site for a year now
1.44 would display the block at all with tabs and so I waited for the new version and with the new version IT STILL DOESN'T WORK!!!

I'm at my wits end on this one....

and either no one else has this prob or no one else knows why either......
