And for petes sake, why isn't the Avatar Upload thing working on the Xoops.org website? I get a blank page....

I've been an advocate for XOOPS for years, but something needs to be done.

People need to get pumped up and do something about gettings XOOPS up to date.

Hey, I got the same problem.

It happened to me after I updated CBB

I'm going as far as to switch to SMF but I was wondering if I could Downgrade(Upgrade) to XOOPS 2.0.17

Is that easy? I can't find any info on it....

PLEASE HELP!!!
I already blew away my forum so....

Yeah Same thing on my site for a year now
1.44 would display the block at all with tabs and so I waited for the new version and with the new version IT STILL DOESN'T WORK!!!

I'm at my wits end on this one....

and either no one else has this prob or no one else knows why either......

Yes! Please post more, because if anything else at least maybe I'll start to understand whats going on.

I see your sig, and after I posted asking what version of XOOPS you had I saw your sig in your profile, but I went back to the fourm to check if I missed it, and your sig wasn't loading for two days. But now it is soo.... ???

I don't want to lose my new members block unless I have to.

How would I go about making a new module to list members of a group, and show the extended profile fields and my own manner.

And here's the biggest question...

Why hasn't this been done yet? It seems EVERYONE has been requesting it? I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't know, I keep searching but I can find anything anywhere (Module wise) where someone uses the extended profiles....

Yep It Happened to me, when a user (Moderator) Deleted himself.

I reinstalled my fourm and now every one has -2 posts, but
after the 2.2.4 Update My Fourm is re-growing again and I haven't encountered it again... hopefully...

Delete your Template Cache, and then if
that's the case then another site on your shared host
is doing it from their site with a PHP hack uploaded to their own site, moving files from their site and overwriting your templates folder, because they saw you use xoops, they know where on the server your folder has read/write

Contact your Host if this turns out to be the case.

Also make sure you have your login block showing,
because if your login in intergrated into the top of your Theme, alot of people turn the login Block off, so just a reminder.

2.0.x.x to 2.2.3a Update Suggestions

If you Update XOOPS and instead of updating when you load
xoopsupdate.php all you get is a login box, well that's what I got anyway. Here's a few tips as to how I resolved it.

1. Don't close your site!!

If you did... well you'll have to gointo your MYPHP Admin
(If that's what you use) And turn it back on.

2. Set the Site's theme back to deafult BEFORE you update.
again, if you didn't and are stuck, goto your PHP Admin and find it and change it to default in the Database.

And Remember, allways Backup everything, BEFORE an update.
