That's a good idea. Thanks for the feedback! :)

I'll take the non-answer as a "no". :) But if anyone's feeling generous I would greatly appreciate some hints on how to achieve this automation.

I guess I could insert records manually through my own code. Hmm.

Can I pass parameters to this file and it will add a new user so long as all parameters are valid? For example:

register.php?uname=MyName&email=my@email.com&pass=myPass etc.

I'm guessing no, but I wanted to be sure.

Hi,

I want to automatically create an account for customers that buy my game when they pay. I can get all the info I need from the payment processor, but I want to then use my own script to add each one to my website as a registered owner of the game (a special rank).

Where should I begin to look for how to do this from PHP?

Thanks!
Jason

Here's what I changed it to:

define("_MD_PDD_NOPERMISETOLINK""Oops! There seems to have been a security error. Please <a href="http://www.thinkbiggames.com/modules/liaise/">contact us</a>, and we'll help you find the file you're looking for." );

Thanks for the replies. I hope you will change it to something that is less "militant" sounding. :)

MyDownloads anti-leech message is making people mad

Little did I know that there's a harsh and immature message in the MyDownloads module which ships with Xoops. (It's also present in PDDownloads.) The anti-leech message is offensive and insults users who are legitimately trying to get a file. To make XOOPS better and more respectable, please change this message to something more helpful.

I've had some pretty angry people email me thanks to an error on my part (wrong download link) that caused them to see the message. I had no idea it was in there, but also I expected more professionalism from Xoops!

I agree! This would be a nice thing to have. Maybe it should be a part of the XOOPS core. Surely the devs could whip up such a mod fairly quickly? :)

This hack doesn't seem to work with xoopsgallery. Specifically, when I try to view an image, it says:
Quote:
ERROR: requested index [] out of bounds [3]

Can anyone confirm this? (In case it's just something I'm doing wrong.)

Thanks.

I was going to ask something almost the same, except I'd like to totally get rid of the XOOPS structure references completely:

site.com/mylink/myotherlink/etc/

Is there any concept of url aliases in Xoops?

Thanks!

PS. I love Xoops. I was working with Xaraya, but it's a huge beast that takes too much time to work with. XOOPS is fantastic. :)
