Hi

I just want to let everyone know that Burning has done an excellent job for us and he exceeded all of my expectation. He redesigned our site from scratch and delivered the project on time. He then worked with us to make all the tweaks and changes and throughout the whole process Burning was friendly, willing and knowledgeable.

I highly recommend him as a designer and developer for a new or existing project.

Also, you will find that his rates are very reasonable.

The new site will go live in a day or two, meantime you can see it herehttp://sleepgs.com/2.0/

if the link is N/A then that means we went live, and you can visit it herehttp://sleepgs.com

Oh, Burning did not make the slider images, those were done in-house :o

Hi there!

It is time to bring one of my sites up to date design-wise. I am looking for someone up for the job.

The site is:http://sleepgs.com

I do not have all the design specifics yet, but we will probably want to add a slider among other things. Mainly, I'd like it to fresher, more web 2.0, cleaner, etc.

Please reply here with your portfolio if possible, or send me an email to tom (at) dharma-gate.com

Thanks in advance!

Tom

Hi

I am a little rusty on my xoops, can you perhaps help me figuring out a solution for the following scenario?

A website with multiple sections/categories.
Each section/category will have specific articles, videos, links, files, etc.

IE:
Section 1
--articles
--videos
--links
--files
Section 2
--articles
--videos
--links
--files

I'd like it that when a section is selected from the menu (will use custom menu module), content from the different modules related to that category will be displayed nicely on the page.

I am guessing that I'll have to choose a main module for the page, and use blocks to display additional media on the page based on categories within each module.

Will I be able to create blocks that will show videos, links, etc from specific categories within their modules and have them show on the page of choice?

What are some others ways to go about this? Does this make sense?

Any help counts,

TommyZ

Hi

Did you find a fix or a cause for this error?

Ever since migrating servers, upgrading xoops, i get the same error when trying to create a new partner.

From debug, i get:
Errors

Notice: Undefined index: filters in file /home/****/secure324l***/libx/modules/protector/class/ProtectorFilter.php line 63
Notice: Only variable references should be returned by reference in file /modules/who_uses_us/include/functions.php line 163

any help would be appreciated, I am about to upgrade to xoops 3.4.5, currently on 3.4.3

Hi there

Zina is beautiful and works great with XOOPS 2.4.x

grab the latest XOOPS integration from:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/zina/files/Zina/

currently its 2.0beta13

install it like any module

go to the module, click on the preferences icon, set admin password

lots of settings to play with here, you want the one that says directories
there you will choose the location where you will upload the albums to.

Each album folder can have an image file (any name) and zina will display it as the album cover

it can have a index.txt file with the info on the album

and also txt file with same name of each track if you want to have info about the track itself.

zina comes with a demo/artist1 folder where you can see all the files that you can use, also there's a directory.txt or something like that file that needs to be inside directory that you set as the root folder.

Things to consider, do you want allow download permission to the files? if not turn it off in the preferences, and if you want to take additional security measures, upload the music files out side public_html/ it will still allow people to stream them.

hope this helps, let me know if you have other questions, good luck,

Tom

Hi Xoopers

So i am nearly done building a XOOPS site for an artist friend of mine, and I am pretty much down to a gallery modules that looks good, has slideshow, maybe lightbox, and is easy to use... is extgallery the only option for XOOPS 2.4.x? Couldn't figure out Tadgallery nor it looks too great...

Other options I am considering is integrating flicker or picasa, have any of you have experience doing so?

thanks in advance!

Tom

Hi ghia

Thank you for this valuable checklist, I will go through it as i migrate to a new server (Virtual Private Server, woohoo!)

Andrey: Can you clarify on that? Can I not run XOOPS with php sade mode enabled? I think I've done it before.

I'd like to create the most secure environment possible.

Thanks in advance,

Tom
