every time i uncheck forum from module access rights in groups and click apply, it just comes back. any ideas?

i set up a portal which is mostly used by anonymous users, so the display of content works well.

now i want to add a whole part of the site for the board of the organization. i want them to be able to post items like meeting minutes and forms (word documents, pdf's, etc). what is the best approach for this?

tried installing forum module, which seems like it could work. one thing i need is for this to only appear when a board member is signed in. the blocks make it seem like if i make it visible, it is for both anonymous users AND registered. how do i onlyonly make it visible to registered members?

formulaire: how do i set it so anonymous users can access my forms?

i set up some forms using forumulaire. when i try to access them as an anonymous user, it says i don't have permission. i tried adding block access, but that didn't work. how do i give anonymous users permission to access these forms?

how can i stop my banner ad at top from being a link?

i want the banner at the top of the site to simply be an image, and not a link that pops open a new window. how can i do this?

formulaire: my " marks are turning into /'s. what do i do?

every time i use a " or a ' in my textareas, they turn into /////.

do i need to use a code for the " or ' symbol?

creating an online applicatoin form-does anything exist?

i would like to add an application form where an anonymous user fills out info such as:
name:
age:
email:
address:
phone:
essay question 1:
essay question 2:
essay question 3:

the best way would be for the form to get stored in a database such as an .mdb. worst case scenario, the form would just be emailed with all the info to a designated email address.

any ideas?

help fix my uneven cells?

for whatever reason, xfsection would not let any other user make administrative changes. even other users who were in the webmaster group could not make changes. only once i edit the DB to have a new user with uid=1 did xfsection allow me to change the configs. go figure.

well i don't want to change the webmaster group id to 1, i actually want to create a new user, say "bob" and set that user's UID=1. i think i can get phpmyadmin, but where is that information stored? can someone expand on on how to edit this users uid? will this cause other problems for the user?

i deleted the original webmaster user, and now want to create a user with uid=1. is this possible? please let me know how! thanks for the help.
