I am working on a new layout for one of my XOOPS sites, so I am using the admin view to preview the new site. I went to admin groups - webmaster and unchecked the blocks I do not want to show on the new layout and checked the new blocks I do want to show. The new blocks show just fine but the old ones are still viewed on the page. I know if I go to admin - blocks I can make them not visible, but that will also effect all users. I have never had a broblem hiding blocks from the webmaster view before. any ideas?

BTW I also had the issue with the system admin missing from the admin module listing, but I went back to the direct webmaster permissions and rechecked admin access to all, this happened at the same time I was trying to hide some blocks i the webmaster's view.

thanks!

When I place my Partners block in center the pictures display vertical which takes too much room in length of the site. By the end of adding all the partners for an International Musical Fundraiser for children with HIV/AIDS the page will be too long running vertical. Currently I have moved the Parters block to the Right, however it shortens my center block in width and stretches the center too long (or longer then I would like)and I really do not want any right blocks if I can help it. Any ideas on how to have the partners line up side by side and not on top of each other. Maybe something like center block display 5 partners across in 10 rows down. (50 partners on front page) Thank you in advance for any advice. www.radiodevil.com/oneworld

admin -> Blocks scroll down to see add new block -> choose center -> input text or html -> submit (make sure you choose for the block to be visible)

When finished if you want ALL users to view you will need to goto Groups in the admin and assign permission for the groups to access the block. By default only members will see custom blocks.

Don't be sorry that life comes before XOOPS Like I said I use the oscommerce and XOOPS apart from each other and enjoy them both, as they are user friendly to us who are php challenged.

And I am sure I speak for everyone in saying thank you to you, all the other developers, and the many others who reply to our "stupid" questions regarding XOOPS in general. And also for not get out the gun and looking us up in the phone book!

Has the XOOPS Shop using Oscommerce been abandoned? Seems like there are dozens of posts on the myxoopsshop site in regards to support, but it has been several months that an actual team member has bothered to post or offer assistance with the module.

I have used Oscommerce for a while now and was excited to see it available through Xoops, it just sucks that it does not work properly for many people including myself. Obviously there is a great desire to have a functional shopping module, based on the posts here in these forums.

1. When creating the form prior to submitting did you choose permission for visitors to access? Meaning not in modules or blocks but the setting for permissions in the actual form you created.

2. Module access is set for all?

If you have set permissions in both these areas it should work. go admin - formulaire - edit form and make sure that permissions for the form has been set for access to all groups.

I did not have the left column issue so perhaps that has been fixed. I would consider 2 things (and I am not a pro like most of your visitors are not) First I would think about not having the waiting content visible to the general visitor. If there is something in waiting content and for some reason it is not approved you may end up having to explain your choice for not posting a content provided.

The second thing is the theme you use (7dana)is a shared theme designed by another individual. Seeing that you are advertising design I would work towards coming up with an original that is a sample of your company's work. Visitors will assume what they are looking at is your work due to the removal of the designer's link at your footer.

Understanding your new to XOOPS i am sure it will take time to get into the theme writing. Otherwise good site with layout and content.

i need to have a page where people can upload music files to me. I have tried the kbuploader with no success, every page is blank. even if it is not an "xoops" uploader any suggestion would work. obviously i would like to stick with an XOOPS but i need an uploader. Thanks!
