I have come across a similar problem. I only have a few registered users. I have noticed in the last day or two that I now have two users with join dates of 12/31/69. The last login column is empty and the post column says they both have 1 post each.

They do not show up in the registered user Group. They do show up if you search for inactive members.

I have no post listed in the forum under those two user names, so I believe that the 1 post each list is incorrect as well as the join date.

I thought that maybe these two individuals had requested registration, but had not yet finished their registration by clicking the link in the email that was sent to them.

How ever when I tested this theory with a new account, I could not reproduce the same results as the two accounts with the 12/31/69 join date.

My test account join date was correct as well as having a 0 post count.

SO needless to say it seems to be sporadic.

Anyone have any similar results or ideas about this.

am using XOOPS 2.2.3 final and php 4.4.0

Thanks

k did find a solution to my problem at the coppermine forums

http://coppermine-gallery.net/forum/index.php?topic=24494.msg112729;topicseen#msg112729

Tells you how to modify the install.php file.

It is up and running now.

I haven't had time to look at the theme portion of it yet, but will definitely have to change it to fit my website theme.

One question that I hadn't had time to think too much about yet.

Am I going to be able to have my default left column from XOOPS which includes my main menu on the left hand side of the coppermine front-page?

And am i going to be able to have blocks on my XOOPS front-page similar to what I have set up now at this site(ie scrolling thumbs and such)

Oh BTW Phat..could you post a link to your site so I can see your gallery :)

Thanks for the help

Hi Phat.

Thanks for the response. I will continue to peruse the boards for answers.

Hi McDonald :)

I am currently using xcgallery 2.0. I was intrigued by coppermines latest version. I am trying to install it on my test site to see if I like it.

Am I correct in thinking that coppermine 1.4.2 has many more features than xcgallery 2.0?

Thanks

Hi all :)

Something I am not quite clear on. Is the bridge a seperate piece of software, or is it included in the 1.4.2 stable package?

I am getting an error upon initial installation attempt

Quote:
ERROR
You seem to be trying to install the standalone Coppermine into your Nuke portal.
This version can only be used as standalone!
Some server setups might display this warning even though you don't have a nuke portal installed - if this is the case for you, continue with the install. If you are using a nuke portal, you might want to take a look into CpgNuke or use one of the (unsupported) coppermine ports - do not continue!

I ignored this error and entered my database information on the next page. I was then redirected to the above error page again.

Thanks for your help

Hi Gestroud.

Thanks for the reply. I guess that does seem to be what it is doing. I was really hoping to get that block to work :(. It seems everyone must have written this block off, cause I could not find anyone asking why it doesnt work.

Anyone have a hack for it?

Thanks

News 1.4x and Big Story Block

Hi all.

Is anyone having problem with the Big Story Block in News 1.4 and above?

I have tried it with both 1.4 and 1.43. I am using XOOPS 2.2.3 final.

The block always says "there is no big story for today yet", even though I have had friends come to my site and read the stories. I verified that the views for the stories had increased, but yet still no story in the Big Story Block. It actually looks like the view count will not increase unless a logged in user is the reader. Can anyone confirm this?

It will however place a story in that block if it is a story that I just wrote. Even when the story has 0 views.

I must be doing something wrong because I could not find anyone on this site or with a google search that is having a problem with the big story block.

If anyone has any hints or has a problem with this Big Story block please let me know.

The block is on my main page on the bottom in the right hand column

Thanks

Ditto here.

I have never had the time work correctly. Definately seems to be an issue(either with me or with XOOPS :)). Took the time off my site due to this issue.

Trouble with 2.2.3 Final and WF-Downloads from the module pack

Anyone having problems with 2.2.3 final and the WF-Download module that was provided on the xoops.org site under the module packs?

I had it installed before the upgrade but had never thoroughly checked it out, so I am not for sure if these are recent problems or not(cant find any info on this).

2 problems so far are the leeching screen comes up even with my website listed in the preferences section.

The other problem is you cant actually download any files, even when you click on the download link after the 3 secs. Just sends you to the module and gives a blank page.

I have been to WF-downloads page and not for sure if their modules work with the 2.2.3. final or not.

Anyone been down this road yet? or have any helpful info?:)

Thanks

Luckily a complete restore of a previous backup by my hosting company fixed my problem.

Problem is I am not for sure what caused the problem in the first place.

I will attempt the move again. If I run into the same problem will post again :)

Missing Blocks- Any Solution Found?

Hi all

(using XOOPS 2.2.3 and have had 0 problems until this)

I have searched these forums and have found similar problems to the one I am having but have yet to see a solution.

I was moving my copy of my test site to my home directory(they are both on the same shared server). So, I copied my directories over to the home location. Downloaded the database info from my test site and uploaded it to the home site.

Tried to access my home site and front page came up with no blocks on the page. Theme was there and OK but no blocks. I then went to double check my test site. My test site also had no block on the front page.

My test site was working fine just before I downloaded the database info from my test site.

So I uploaded my backup of my home directory that I had made just prior to starting the transfer. Unfortunately I get the same results, still no blocks.

When I say no blocks I mean no blocks. I go to Admin--> Blocks, and there is not one block listed in the block list. If I try to make a new block I get this error

Quote:
SELECT * FROM test_block_instance ORDER BY visible ASC, side ASC, weight ASC
Error number: 1146
Error message: Table 'prefix_test site.test_block_instance' doesn't exist
( 0.000291)

Almost forgot to mention. I have a menu that is theme based(theme.html) that runs across the top of the website. That menu still functions properly. All the module data seems to be there just no blocks.

Anyone come up with a solution for this. Or can anyone give me a clue on what I should do next.

This is very frustrating. I had my site very close to going live and now I have a useless site.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Foz
