Hi Rich,
You can set the image using plain old html, or use css to apply the background.

Just save the block with an "html" format.
<body background="wedding.gif">

You may also want to use
<body background'<$xoops_imageurl>/wedding.gif'>
if the image is in your "themes" folder.

( i think that is the proper structure for the link.)

I would stay away from wf-sections for right now. I spent two months trying ot get it into a working condition....its a great idea , but its goign to be quite a while before we see somethign final. I believe the authors are chaning the development language before they put out a new release.

I've found the tinycontent module to be very handy. Its worth looking into.

ayeup, your right. That is strange indeed. I do see a couple comments though.

Have you checked your database to make sure content still exsists in it?

You can set a "block" to appear on how many pages you want to. When selecing the pages a block appears on hold the CTL button down, just like you would when selecting multiple files, and you can pick which pages each block will appear on, and then set the weight of each page.

Hi Soren,
Yes, XOOPS is awesome indeed, I tried about 10 other CMS style management systems, and XOOPS was by far the easiest to use and set up.

There is a hack that will allow your users to log in automatically when they visit, and it also allows you to set the duration they will be able to autologin. You can get it here.

Im not sure how to code it, but there are a few themes that display Welcome "Username", I know for sure that 7dana-jane theme has it. You can download this theme from their website: 7dana.

There is no telling what will be overwritten when you upgrade to new versions of xoops. Most of the more popular mod authors keep thier work up to date with the newest XOOPS code. Im quite sure that the CVS files are always available prior to updates, so you will always have good notice of at least the types of changes that will be taking place, and plan accordingly. (of course there is always a chance that any changes won't make it into the final release)

yes, you can have multiple XOOPS sites on the same server. Just install the new site in a new folder. Use a new name for the new database.
