I may be wrong, but I wouldn't worry too much about that message. I find that in my home setup of phpMyAdmin. I think it's an issue between MySQL and phpMyAdmin, and not exactly with XOOPS. My XOOPS set up runs fine with those phpMyAdmin messages.

The Documentation Team is still working on some help documents for download. We've just released a document, "Visual Introduction to XOOPS", which is available in different formats. You can see it at the left column.

Check your style.css in the theme you are using. It should be identified by .itemTitle a (or something like that). Change that to whatever you want.

Sys Ad > Groups:
Check group permissions for the Main Menu block
or
Sys Ad > Blocks:
Check visibility of the Main Menu block

Check it you have your Software Firewall enabled. Try disabling it and check if that works.
If that works, do a search here on Norton Firewall and how to include XOOPS in the allowed sites.
