Hi folks...

I commited a dumb smarty mistake and I'm not getting in my site again... I was testing some features I was adding to a block with the php-debug on and I got this message:

Quote:

Error [Xoops]: Smarty: [in db:wfs_block_new.html line 2]: syntax error: unidentified token '}>' (Smarty_Compiler.class.php, line 1228) in file class/smarty/Smarty_Compiler.class.php line 1824

I even know the file I was editting so I re-uploaded it to try to get in my site again but I can't even see the page... I just get the php-debug output...

Can anyone help me further?

Thanks

I'm not a Smarty expert, but when I see a 'db:' in front of a template, I think it means it is accessing a source from the DB.

Try going into the DB, look at xoops_tplfile table, check the tpl_id of the template mentioned above, then look at the HTML code of that template in xoops_tplsource table using the tpl_id as reference.

Just in case I was wrong in my assumptions, could you specify the file you were editing when this happened?

I was editting the wfs_block_new.html for wfsections.
it's the recent articles block.
In fact I applied one 'if' clause to make some visual changes to the layout...

I'll will try your suggestions to see what happens.

Thanks

Not sure if you have already done it - Did you update the module after you replaced with the original file?

Aside from suggestion above, clear your templates_c folder just to be sure.

Thanks for your help people!
None of the suggestions worked out, but then I deleted the database and re-installed xoops...
I lost a bit of work but since the data wasn's that important I thought it would be faster for me to delete and start over...
Thanks again!!!
