Actually I have gone out of my way to provide it. An installation for FREE!

Of course it's freeware, I'm offering people the ability to start a site without going through the hassle of troubleshooting installations or going through this very forum in trying to solve some minor difficulty they run into.

Sorry if You feel Offended For such a Post.. lol

I can INSTALL it for FREE. Not for $25, $50 or some even charge $100 for such script installs.

PM notification hack. . .

after messing with this for a few days and getting a little outside help, I have finally found a way to alert members on my site when they have a private message. It isn't a pop-up html window, but it is a java script alert that says, "you have a private message in your inbox"

Copy and Paste this into your user menu block template. You might want to edit the message or make sure that this template doesn't ruin something that you have already customized.

2.0.4 is supposed to fix some bugs eh?

Thats good because I seem to have quite a few. I think they are mainly Globals Off issues..is that addressed at all?

BEcause, upgrading is such a task sometimes..I never feel stable!

Well I got everything to work but now there seems to be another problem. All my users are complaining that forum posts are marked as read before they've even looked at them. Now if you don't check the forum within basically a minute of a new post it automatically gets marked as read. Wierd. I had to remove this hack as I have no idea what could be doing it. I assume it's a cookie issue.

UPDATE: Never mind I figured it out. The problem is the latest release of IPBM already has an autologin hack in it. DOH!

Version 2.0.4 will be a bug fix release. It should come soon.

Version 2.1.0 will be the 'next' version, with some major improvements and some additions. We'll start a roadmap discussion on the site soon, I promise
