Hehehe I finally got the login hack to work, it is working great so far and everything. Only problem is now I cannot log out. When I click log out, it says logged out blah blah, but the user menu is still there, not the login block. Is it supposed to be like that? It isn't really a problem, but some users might not want to stay logged in.

hey everyone, thanks a ton for helping me get this figured out. I am deleting the old site and recreating it from a back up. Thanks for the idea. XOOPS has the best support community of any product I've ever used.

Is it possible to use the same database for a new version of Xoops? I'm using XOOPS 2.0.3 and would like to update to a newer version.

oh hey I have another question. My system administration is really messed up. It has all of the old modules from when I last backed up my files, but it doesn't have the new modules I have installed listed in the menu. I tried using the "update" button on the modules administration and it says "Unable to write to main menu." Which file is it that I need to CHMOD to 777 to allow it to write to the main menu?

So my host was hacked over the weekend and my site was one of the ones hit. From my knowledge my site had nothing to do with the hacking, but my damn php and index files were over written with some stupid files. Anyway, I can't seem to get my site back to the way it was before. I re-uploaded all of the files and such, with no luck. Has anyone had any experience with this type of thing? I am getting really frustrated with it, as I use this site as one of the ones for my web design portfolio. The url ishttp://minusdriven.com you can plainly see all the errors that have occurred. Any idea as to what I can do to fix this?

Thanks

I was wondering if it is possible to make the user able to select his or her own theme from a drop down menu? I know there is a theme block already installed with xoops, but it looks bad on my site and a drop down would fit much nicer. Sorry if I put this in the wrong section, but I wasn't quite sure where it would go. . .

Sorry I don't really know how else to put it. I'm looking for a module that lists downloads in the following fashion

Quote:

category name
Download name
Download name
Download name
Download name

2nd category name
Download name
Download name
Download name
Download name

the one that comes pre-installed with XOOPS is a little too cumbersome for my tastes. Any ideas?
