This can be caused by firewall and cookie settings, check out these known links for help:

http://wiki.xoops.org/wakka.php?wakka=CannotLogin

http://wiki.xoops.org/wakka.php?wakka=CannotPost

XMDT FAQ - Explanation <--- try this one.

Also a search of the forum would help a lot, there is tons of info, just try search queries like 'login problems' 'can't register' etc, etc.

Hope this helps

This has happened to two different people today. They go to register and they get kicked off. One said in an email to me:

Hiya, I've tried to register, and it seems to take all the info, but then bounces me to a page that says "unable to register user"...but doesn't give me a definable error so I know what, if anything I did wrong. Any ideas?

I've tried registering several random names and cannot repeat the problem. But two different people cannot get through. Anyone else see this or have any ideas?

BTW the site is www.bloggerforum.com

I've found the source, it looks intact but I'll have to dig deeper to find out why it's not allowed at this time. I also have the original gallery code to peek at, so I should be able to figure it out eventually. Now if someone has already fixed the ZIP support in XoopsGallery it would certainly be appreciated if they could submit it

Which version of XOOPS are you running? This is not a problem since 2.0.3 (or perhaps even earlier) I believe.

No, it's made as a real block. Put the php file in a folder called "blocks" and name it inchat.php. Put the template file in the template/blocks/ folder (If I remeber you have to create the blocks folder inside templates) and name it "inchat.html".

Then add the follwing to the xoops_version file:

Quote:

// blocks
$modversion['blocks'][1]['file'] = "inchat.php";
$modversion['blocks'][1]['name'] = "Who's in chat";
$modversion['blocks'][1]['description'] = "Shows Article menu";
$modversion['blocks'][1]['show_func'] = "b_inchat_show";
$modversion['blocks'][1]['template'] = 'inchat.html';

Reload the module and you should be fine.

As for the install, I just did it the way the instructions say to. I haven't made it so the SQL is installed by the xoops_version yet. Didn't see a point since I can't distribute the chat to anyone. Sorry.

Hi,

When I try to install Mantis the Bugtracker I get the following error:

is not a valid SQL!

Wild guess, wrong SQL?

DRAVEN,

Wow thanks for that! Do you place in a custom block then modify a template or creat a new template file for it with the theme?

Also, did you run the install.php script that was included with the package? Or did you do it manually (can't decide)

Thanks again,
You've been a great help...
