Having just mended by Intranet set at work by flushing the xoops_session table in the MySQL database, I'm curious as to what may have caused the problem (it was the user being able to login but then getting logged back out again). It was only 8K at the time that it 'failed'. Using phpMyAdmin it just said 'in use' and if I clicked it I got an error.

Once it was flushed, all worked OK again. I gather the table is to do with logging in and out (from the news article I read) but it didn't really explain what it does. I'm just curious.

For full description and explanation of this problem read this post

https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=24566&forum=7#forumpost107356.

It is especially prominent with Norton Personnal Firewall.

You have to tell the firewall to allow the HTTP referral, i.e. remember where the user came from page by page. To disable the check all together by hard coding, look at Dave_L's posting.

Hope this helps.

Ted

No, it means that you should allow your firewall to send the HTTP referer to that site.

@draken: Please give me some information

1. Xoops-Version
2. PHP-Version
3. Server-Software
4. Which Browser on which platform

For 0.8 I want to add subgenres and playlists for winamp. I think release will be (hope so) end of next week.

Firewall blocking HTTP Referer

Thanks for the fast answer

That means I have to contact the hoster, an update will not help?

Correct?

Re: stubbourn articles

Probably the problem is more that Google has the teaser text cached on their end.
