So does this mean that you are going to stop sending spam out?
Frankly I'm disappointed that you are using the Xortify signup list as spam fodder.

The go80 crap is easily tracked back to you. And the Chronolabs w/o subject or header is kinda obvious.

Honestly I never use the XOOPS upload feature other than for graphics. I do SFTP transfers, and then create/edit the upload descriptions.

Filezilla is the program I prefer.

Not module related, but there are 2 php.ini settings that need adjusted for security reasons:

Turn both of these OFF in php.ini
magic_quotes_gpc On
allow_url_fopen On

I agree with flipse. Proper settings are required, not the blocking of 1 of the largest email providers.

Enable the anti-spam, be sure your php.ini settings and .htaccess structure are secure.
Also enable and register the "captcha", and enable the secondary signup page, as it screws with automated scripts really well.

I think a newsletter type of thing should work well for that. Aren't there 1 or 2 of those functional and being taken care of?

Ok, "perhaps" my motive was a bit selfish, as Userpage has a couple of features I'd like to see implemented in Smallworld.

But the page feed, is well done in Smallworld. And there are other similarities between the modules that cooperation between the two sets of developers would result in better modules all around. IMHO

I'd like to see the efforts on this, and on Smallworld to be combined, as they are essentially the same type of module with slightly different attributes.

Thoughts?

Send mail to webmaster at www.infernallogic.com when you have time. I'll be happy to open my chat up to public use for a short while so you can see it does work well.
Or register, up to you.

I have little or no community/registered user activity so it doesn't get the stress testing it needs, but its still functional.

Flipse: That appears to be the same ajax chat I have installed. It works well. But could use some xoops specific alterations.

I just upgraded from 1.7 and it produced a whitepage when trying to update the module. Re-loading the page gave me the Update confirmation prompt again, and attempting the second try It "seemed" to update, but produced a single error at the end of an apparently successful update:

Failed to execute xoops_module_update_contact

XOOPS Version XOOPS 2.5.5
PHP Version 5.3.15
mySQL Version 5.5.23-55
Server API cgi-fcgi
OS Linux
safe_mode Off
register_globals Off
magic_quotes_gpc Off
allow_url_fopen Off
fsockopen On
post_max_size 64M
max_input_time 60
output_buffering
max_execution_time 30
memory_limit 64M
file_uploads On
upload_max_filesize 64M

It seems to work fine even with that error.
Thanks for the work.
