It could have had great potential but I couldn't get it to work. The admin side is not simple, couldn't even find some settings and although I got the calendar to appear on the user side, it wouldn't book any appointments.

Too bad :(((.

Almost there.... xbooking version?

and can you explain what 'couldn't get it to work' means? What exactly didn't work? What steps did you follow when the failure occurred? Any additional information you can provide helps developers reproduce the problem.

There only one version from 2009, that is in SVN.

I've asked today the original author it Taiwan, if they made any improvement changes, so if I hear anything, I'll let you know.

Not module related, but there are 2 php.ini settings that need adjusted for security reasons:

Turn both of these OFF in php.ini
magic_quotes_gpc On
allow_url_fopen On

I read through the notes in the original news article and applied those changes. After that the calendar appeared on the user side, but still cant make appointments

It's a handy module. Maybe it should be debugged and bluemoved

it would be nice if someone could take a look at this module and get it working

it's something xoops badly needs
