I'm overwriting previous r2 install.
Editor is: TinyMCE Version: 3.5.11
Yes, the articles ARE present in DB, but are no longer listed or displayed.
You can display them by adding the correct article number in the address bar. But they never re-appear as viewable in either admin menus or user side.

On the bright side, I forgot to mention I was finally able to delete existing categories.
That bug is gone.

I'll look into time zone settings. But I'm pretty sure that isn't the issue here.

Fresh installation?
What editor are you using?
Can you check in the DB if the article is there?

On few occasions, when your Timezone is equal to the server, and the server is set to GMT, I've seen that Publisher sets the "publishing time" to GMT, i.e. you'll see the article in 5 hours, and it is not visible in the Admin, but only in DB.

The 1st and only thing I tested so far was editing an existing article from user side.
It still eats the article.

Trying to edit an existing article from admin menu works. At least it doesn't eat the article, but further trying to edit or comment from user side doesn't work.

Comments don't show at all.

Try with module backup, i converted all db in utf-8.
The module can't modify or broken system database, you can create one copy in other database. If all is correct, set the copy database as the system and modofy old system db.

The Publisher 1.02 RC3 (Release Candidate 3) is available for testing.

You can download it from GitHub.

You can also fork it from there, and submit your improvements or bug fixes.

We encourage everybody to open an account on GitHub and get used to working with Git, as this is the current Industry Standard.

Please note:

a) This version is developed and tested ONLY on XOOPS 2.5.7.1 and XOOPS 2.5.8 Beta
b) this is RC-3, so your testing and feedback is appreciated
c) the TCPDF library has been updated and moved to

/xoops_lib/vendor

If you would like to test PDF, you can download it from our SVN as well (use the "Download Snapshot" link)

We'll be offering it soon on GitHub as well.

We are also looking for help with the Tutorial for Publisher and for few other modules.

You can fork the Publisher Tutorial in GitHub, and then use GitBook to modify it, or you can modify it manually, directly in GitHub, or on your local PC with your own editor.

The beauty of this approach is that once you learn how to use GitHub, you can use these skills for both source code and for Documentation

Honestly, the way modules have been playing musical chairs through the developers has been confusing, considering for example the especially long list of variants for Profile module. So some scheme of organized and easy to understand labeling is in order that takes into account original author credit, XOOPS core version compatibility, and secondary developers.

Sorry about your misfortune. I have known people with repetitive strain injuries and it can be long and miserable, and because it can only be minimized, but not completely corrected with surgery. What do you do when that is your living?

It is prolly only matter of time before someone comes up with a keyboard with soft foam keys that one could peck with their nose.
