Hmmm...

So does this mean without going to something like phpadsnew (which is a lot of overkill for what I'm after), there is not a lot I can do with the standard XOOPS banner system to distinguish 2 serprate style shape banners?

Thanks!

knight I think the interest is there but if we're all serious about it we need to get together and figure out issues like who's hosting it, if we're gonna get a url for it etc. There is some cost involved which I think might not be the major obstacle but but also a whole lot of time involved so basically....... we need to set up the 'team' so to speak.

Thanks Jack, I will try this patch.

I am wondering what it takes to get this bug fixed in the main code so it is part of the next release?

I this forum monitored for this kind of bug reports or there is some other more formal system in place to report bugs?

Regards,
Marius

I fixed this a while back in my personal copy of XOOPS; all you need to do is open up your template for newbb_thread.html and change where it says <{if $xoops_is_admin == true}> and make it say <{if $viewer_is_admin == true}>.

Tadah!

This will be an excellent edition to an already excellent module.

I can't wait to take the next version for test run.

Yes Tom, you`re right the CVS Files are not uptodate, I hope i update the Files on weekend, but not on the Sourceforge CVS, the myxoopsforge Site now has an own CVS Server... so have a look up there.

I`am still waiting of the Transfer of the .org then the Site will be also in English with the URL myxoopsforge.org, just for you nongerman speaking Xoopser

The Code is nearly cleaned up, most functions which are supported by XOOPS themself are deleted, that makes the Code smaller, faster and more an XOOPS Modul and i try to make the OSC Affiliate Contribution available in the next Release.

But this is a beta version. Is this version working fine? I know it's a beta version, but just to know if there's some big problem if I install and use it.

This version is working fine, however I cannot endorse or promote the use of this module yet, as it is only in beta stages, I do know that all the tables in this beta version are the same as the independant OSC, with the exception of the xoops_ prefix, so if you create a OSC seperate, then at a later date once in alpha, you can just insert the tables in and then it will be xoopsed, which is what I'm doing.

as for when the final will be released I don't know, but from speaking with the module dev, there will be another release soon.

Check out their CVS Dir. for updates to files, as I think the latest packaged files are quiet outta date, but don't quote me on that one.

Hope this helps

I did the same kind of thing on my site for the user registration page. In this page: /include/registerform.php @ line 39 I added this:

Quote:
$email_tray = new XoopsFormElementTray(_US_EMAIL, "
IMPORTANT: Please use a valid e-mail address. You will receive an automatic e-mail response to this address containing your account activation code.
");

I added this blurb:
IMPORTANT: Please use a valid e-mail address. You will receive an automatic e-mail response to this address containing your account activation code.

you can see it on my site here

Hope this helps.
