Every time you edit an existing article in WF-Section 2.92 the published date will be overwritten and forced to the current date. Older versions of this module had the exact same issue.

To fix:
- admin/index.php
- case $op is 'save', 'Save'
- publishdate parameter is read from _POST, if not present defaults to time()
- three lines below call to setPublished
- comment out these two lines, there is no such parameter in the form posting to this controller
- also, expiredate is not set properly, check is fine, but then publishdate is read from _POST (instead of expiredate)
......

For whatever reason this hack was removed from the repository. Anyone knows why? It is not the first time and not the only hack I put up here that just gets dumped.

We all lose if we treat the XOOPS repository like this

I will re-submit the hack in a few days.

You can still find an older version on the SourceForge repository:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=41586&package_id=105497&release_id=207290

Any news in this regard? I checked the WF-Projects site and WF-FAQ is still not available.

Thanks,

It is very close to what we need, but not complete. It does not have the font and the linethrough options. Also it would be nice if it had drop downs with values for colors and sizes. There could be other small problems as well.

If you are using Mozilla or Firefox then make sure you try the BBCode extension:
http://jedbrown.net/mozilla/extensions/
http://update.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?application=firefox&id=128&vid=196

It would be quite easy to write one specific to Xoops.

I am really happy to see OCC ported to Xoops! I was also considering doing this but never had time for it.

Since I am not a chess player (the site I maintain is also used by a chess club) I cannot comment on chess engine. I will forward you any error reports I get.

From an admin point of view it seems to be OK. One minor thing that I observed is the fact the version 1.03 still reports as 1.02 (just update the xoops_version file).

The FEN notation seems to be quite brutal. Listing the white and black positions could be easier (two lists like: Kd5,Be3,g6). An interactive board would be even better.

You should post a news item on this site for the Chess module, I almost missed it.

I will have a look at Tiny-D. I did not know that it supports wiki syntax. So it is a proper wiki module?

Thanks,
Marius

For some reason I have not thought of SoapBox, it is definitely worth a try.

I keep associating SoapBox with a blogging module. Isn't it just that?

Thanks,
Marius
