hi

take my steps for my upgrading

1- upload all the content in the patch file to my site
2- delete all the content of templates_c folder
3- in the XOOPS admin page go to modules admin then update all the modules which has updated in the patch file

If i delete all the content in the templates_c folder, will everything still work fine in my XOOPS website?

xoops wil built all the pages for you from you template
dont worry you may not delete all the files no problem but you must update your moudles from admin modules in XOOPS admin

Hi All,

I was wondering if there is a easy way to print the servers current date & time in real time for inclusion in a titlebar?

Re: How to start with this web site

When working with modules in XOOPS, it is very helpful to have a good knowledge of PHP, SQL and Object Oriented programming.

If you have that, just take another module (WFSections has been brought forward as a good sample module) and see, how things work there. Then just take the bits you need ("How to ensure only users can see the page", "How to call the database") and modify the module to do, what you want it to do.

is this helping you? Otherwise explain a bit more (please with full sentences ) and we'll see if we can help you further.

Edit: And double posting != double reply - you'll just get the same reply twice

Re: In need of some PHP Script help!!!!!!!

See, it wasn't all that hard

Sorry for not helping you, but missed your post in the day it was up before you had it figured out.

For future problems, I'd recommend looking in the php manual. It has helped me a LOT and is found on www.php.net

If you are stuck still after searching the manual, by all means ask us But give us a bit of time to reply. If you also have a test site where we can see the form or how the problem looks, it's usually a great help.

Good luck forward

The way i upgrade is as follow, give the previous version files a "X" prefix, and than upload the new version file.

For example, post.php becomes Xpost.php, and than upload your new post.php, simple ?

...or you can use an _ instead of an X. Then your old files will be listed first in your directory. (If sorted ascendingly.)

Just my 2 cents....

I feel a bit silly, but...

I have a few different XOOPS sites...

I know I have somewhere between 2 < mine < 2.0.4 ... but I can't figure out which one. Is there a place in the code that tells me (I tried mainfile.php... nothing I could see).

Thanks for the help.

Keith
