1st problem: go to news preferences in the admin, and set the notification style to none or block only. Now it's set to both block and inline.

2nd problem: go to blocks admin, partner block and click edit to change the number of partners displayed, and how they are displayed

The user info will be made dynamic, so this should cater your wishes and lots more

Looks like it is missing some files. Make sure you've uploaded ALL the files in the package (in this case make sure the install dir files are all there).

The buttons at the top of a text entry box are not wysiwyg controls. Instead of modifying existing content in an entry, they modify text that is entered in the text box next to the "Add" button.

This is due to extra space after the final ?> tag in xoops_version.php file

What server hardware do you have? My server is only a PIII 550 and it's able to process 90 queries in about 1.1 seconds. Idealy your server should complete it's processing in under .5 of a second for each site load.
