I would like to have something like a "Give Author Feedback", Article Rating script 1-10. 1=Poor, 10=Great. Also, when you are reading a story, there could be a small box with the name of the author, and small bio.

Support for different types of ads, like different sizes, 468 x 60 full banner is already supported, but also would like to see 392 x 72, 234 x 60 half banner, square banners, tower banners in the side blocks, etc..

Are the XOOPS developers going to be adding a WYSIWYG editor in a future update anytime soon? Something like HtmlArea, or the one that Mambo OS uses.

This would be pretty helpful because right now, I use Dreamweaver to write something, and then copy the code into XOOPS.

I found that in most of the modules contain a index.html with the content
<script>history.go(-1);</script>

However, I found that in c-jay there is a index.html file but contains nothing.

What's the use of the file?

The read more... link appears when you have a sory that is in two parts: the introduction text (the top textarea in the news admin screen), and the full text (the second textarea field). If you put all your text in the top area, the read more... link does not appear.

The comments link appears when you've activated comments for the groups of users you want to be able to comment. You can set this in the Preferences screen of the news module administration.

How do I add the "Read More... |5 comments" feature at the bottom of each story? I would like to have 5-7 stories on the main page, and on each story, I would like to have the "Read More..." link.

Thanks.

#1 When i put in a title name for the ie top bit it refreshes and nothing is in it and it doesnt work.

#2 when someone signs up it says from <sitename> in the email, i have went into preferences and mail settings and set it, the topic is from me just in the actual email, how do i fix that?

um thats about it for now. If people could give me some insight on those i would be much apreciated thankyou

Ideas For Modifying Xoops Banner Management?

Hi All,

I'm thinking of modifying the XOOPS Banner management so that there are two distinct types of banners with appropriate smarty codes. This is so that you can separate horizontal and vertically aligned banners for display on your site. I.e horizontal (such as default XOOPS banners) in the headerbar and center column, and vertical banners in the left and right columns. I know you can just use Phpadsnew to do all this, but as good as it is, I'm never going to want/need serious banner management on my site, so I thought a sligt modification of the existing banner management would do the trick.

At first I was just going to run a second instance of the existing banners section, but I think that will be a bit too hacky as it will mean having two of everything (clients, stats, etc...) where I only want two types of banners.

At the moment I'm only exploring the idea, and was windering if anyone had any tips/suggestions/ideas for going about this?

You could also try recounting the forum.

Hello,
Brash<<<
Thats exactly what I was looking for, Thank You.

ackbarr<<<
Smarty Debugging....Sweet
A very positive impression with XOOPS since installation.
Very user and admin friendly.
It will take a bit to adjust to new XOOPS code.
Currently minimal knowledge of xml coding.
Thats why I started with theme conversion, something simply.
Thank You ackbarr and a gracious welcome.
