Hi All,

Got a really weird one here. I've got a new user on my site that posted on my forums early this morning, which is fine. Whats got my attention more than normal is that NewBB is reporting there are close to 2000 views on this post, even though my site only has only gotten about 2,500 views in total for the two weeks since its launch.

The NewBB forum on my site is version 2.0.4 standard without any hacks, and I was just wondering if anyone had ever seen anything like this before?

Hmmm, from rough calculations I did, a view count on this thread of 1940 from the time it was posted until the time I saw it approximately 8 hours later would mean it was being viewed every 15 seconds or so. I don't think so

, but it looks as if I'm the only one with this problem

well, I haven't heard of anything like this before. But you can backup these viewcounts by checking your http access logs. If it has been accessed that much, the logs will tell you who is doing it.

Good idea Ackbarr, I have a look at my logfiles tonight. I can't imagine the view count being accurate, but I suppose it could happen if the user left the computer with a browser window open and had a stuck F5 key or something.
