Who designed the theme? Do they have a website & price range?

It worked sort of.. Sometimes I see something an extra slash like www.mydomain.com/modules//newbb. How do I fix this?, and not just for this particular module, but also some other areas.

I could start over.. my XOOPS website wasn't all that big, but it will still be a pain in the a$$.

Would it be possible to make it so a brief headline like it shows up in the Headlines section, automatically stream right into one of the forums that we specify?

You can see a Forum Feed example here:
http://www.w3reports.com/newsfeed.php but this one is for vbulletin.

Could something like this be added to NewBB? This way when a user clicks on "more...", the story opens up in a new page, and then they can discuss it in the forums. It would make things a lot faster.

This wouldn't replace the news module or anything like that, it would remain like it is right now, users with proper permissions can still post news stories like they can right now.

Need something like this for a XOOPS based website.

Headlines Module

Is there something wrong with the Headlines module? I'm running XOOPS v. 2.06.

I'm having some problems with the Headlines module. When a user selects the a news source from the Headlines pagehttp://www.dialognow.com/modules/xoopsheadline/

The list shows up with 5-6 sources. On the Yahoo! news section, when they click on the story title, it takes them to the full story without any problems.

But whenever a user clicks on "more..." under the brief article summary, the article doesn't show up, instead a 404 error page shows up.

This problem is only showing up for the Yahoo! news section, I don't know if it does the same thing with the other websites.

Has anyone else noticed this?

I tried following these instructions but I got these errors:
==================================================
Warning: Unknown(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/home/eindia/public_html/index.php) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/httpwebs/:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/tmp) in Unknown on line 0

Warning: Unknown(/home/eindia/public_html/index.php): failed to open stream: Operation not permitted in Unknown on line 0

Warning: (null)(): Failed opening '/home/eindia/public_html/index.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in Unknown on line 0

==================================================

The db name, username, password, are all the same as the old server.

I was able to import the db dump file without any problems.. For the Virtual Path I put the temporary addresshttp://67.43.0.142/~eindia.

Should I change this to the actual domain name? and wait 2-3 days until it propagates to the new dns servers?

Thanks.

Cool! Can I ask when/if there will be a demo or screenshot available to see?

Thanks.

I don't know if anyone has suggested this before, but including HTMLarea in the core package in the next version would be a good idea.

I know that we can create WYSIWYG pages through wfsections/dreamweaver, but it would be nice to have it in the core package like it is in Mambo OS.

This way, the news section would look more cleaner and consistent.

I am doing a fresh installation of XOOPS for a new website I'm working on, and I keep on getting this error "mainfile.php is writeable by the server. "

I'm using SmartFTP, and I changed the file permission to 444, but for some reason it doesn't hold it.. It automatically changes back to 644 automatically.

Would it work if I use a different ftp client?

I've installed XOOPS before several times before without any major problesm.

I don't know if you know this.. but double ad serving of the Google ads isn't allowed. Like you have it setup on your main page..

One of my friends was doing something similar and someone from google was reviewing his website and after seeing it, they canceled his adsense account.

Just to let you know..

Sometimes they will warn you and give you some time to fix it.. other times, they will just cancel your account.

Can someone post a link to the mAds module that doesn't have anything in the footer like on this website?:

http://one.berkeley.edu/modules/myAds/

The one I installed was a version for e-xoops, ported to work with XOOPS, but I would like one with nothing in the footer.. It makes it too cluttered. I have v. 2.05 installed.

Thanks.
