After several years of inactivity, the Bay Area Animation Society of San Francisco, CA has relaunched their organization and website. The organization seeks to bring awareness of Japanese culture not only to students and children, but also to the parents. Events include food drives, staffing area events, and attending conventions year-round.

The migration to Xoops came when File Maker Pro and Ikonboard could no longer provide the membership, event, and article information do the depth a non-profit organization needed. The site is expected to be in full swing with approximately 700 members come late June, once the convention season is underway in California.
