Out of all the CMS's available.. Open Source and Proprietory (for that read megabucks!) I personally think xoops is the best...and in two weeks we have got the site up and running - matching the original interface design as well, which at the start was my main headache..

Things of interest for you xoopsers...
Full cross platform/browser javascript menu..
Individual pages (I just used the sections module and the static JS Menu) Custom fields in the user profile (I just changed the labels in the language files! - a not to destructive hack!)
Custom Avatars - simply uploaded more!
Custom Icons - just changed the image files

XOOPS is awesome! I am not a programmer but I do hack a bit! XOOPS has alowed me to do pretty much everything I wanted..with a little help from the xoops forum - thanks for your help guys!

I am always happy for feedback so if you think something should have been done differently let me know... thats how we all learn - right!
