We have listened to to your comments and requests about the Xoops FAQ section. You said the FAQ was helpful, but we could improve it (polls). Comments from the forums have asked for "less unessesary detail on the module index page....... No need to display list of last published questions, dates, or read data ......... Improve the category displays and wording ........... Most popular questions block needed............. Clearer mapping of where to find help. "

ViaRender Systems
ViaRender Systems is a Company devoted to provide Open Source Solutions for Computer Rendering.
Nowadays, professional CG is demanding top quality in the product ( motion-picture, illustration, etc ) final result.
ViaRender Systems provides rendering and shaders creation software capable to handle the quality that professional studios and single users are requesting.
All our software is Open Source licensed under GNU General Public License.
The Company website has been entirely created with Xoops.
Besides software development, ViaRender Systems also handle the creation and administration of Computer Graphics related websites. Nowadays, the first website that is online it's PixelBox Academy, a RenderMan and Gelato Learning Center.
Soon, we will launch Render This!, a website that can be compared to Slashdot, but dealing only with Computer Rendering subjects.

Xoops Tutorials
I have just started a new section to this site. It is a section of Xoops Tutorials.What it is exactly is a series of flash tutorials that explain how to complete different operations within Xoops and general site management functions.
Sometimes seeing is easier to understand than reading.
The tutorials are located in the Xoops Tutorials section of the site.
SOFTECHMATRIX website launched
Today I officially launched the website for my new company SOFTECHMATRIX. This is a dutch-language website about Open Source Consulting and Deployment. Deploying XOOPS for several applications is part of my services.

SmartFAQ 1.04 is out !
The SmartFactory is proud to release the new version of SmartFAQ ! This new release can be downloaded here : SmartFAQ 1.04 Final. You don't know what SmartFAQ is ? Have a look here : Learn more about SmartFAQ. This new release includes number of suggestions made on the forums by users of the module. Basically, we focused on presenting the information in a more intuitive and less cluthered way. In order to do so, the templates were improved and some configuration options were added to let the webmaster decided more precisly what information to display.
Members Homepages 1.01
Anticipated by many xoops webmasters, this is the first release of the long overdue Members Homepages module.
It allows the webmaster to provide the users of a website the ability to create and maintain their own personal homepage with their own content. It is based on the original obs_classroom module by Mithrandir.

A sincere thank you to the Xoops community for a wonderful product and all of the modules along with it.
I have been using Xoops to power a community web site focused on Salmon and Steelhead fishing in the Northwest.
It is using the newbb v2 which is an extremely nice upgrade to the previous functionality.
Anyways, if you are into Salmon and Steelhead fishing, drop by!
