We Need Help with cURL+XOOPS!

Hey all,
Ok I tried looking into this really as far as I could but still couldn't get cURL to work on my server. I propose we try and document how to enable cURL functions and then add it to the wiki.

Of course the primary force behind this has been the recent module FREECONTENT. Which only begins to show the full potential of cURL....(and the support forum for that module is not active)

What are your thoughts on it?
And has anyone successfully enabled it?

(It is by default in the extension folder for PHP 4.1 and abvove)

I've got Curl installed & working on my server --- what type of server are you running?

I believe its win 2k,

Have you tried FreeCOntent?(maybe it's just the Mod)

How do you go about enabling cURL?

I am running WinXP and i cant get the CURL functions to work, even though I think they're enabled in Apache.

Curl is an PHP extension library, in my local w2k installation I have PHP.INI file like this
.....

;Windows Extensions
;Note that MySQL and ODBC support is now built in, so no dll is needed for it.
;
;extension=php_bz2.dll
;extension=php_cpdf.dll
;extension=php_crack.dll
extension=php_curl.dll
;extension=php_db.dll
;extension=php_dba.dll
;extension=php_dbase.dll

.....

Thus, when apache&php start Curl extension is loaded.

yeah thats where you "uncomment" it,
but anything else before that...
Because that alone is not working....
