In my mind a basic module pack should be what is included with xoops as default.
Exactly, XOOPS 2.0.18 was CMS..., there was everything required to have fully functional portal on your own.
Now is a Profile Manager,PMS and core.
- TDMDownloads
- avaman
- boox
- contact
- marquee
- mastop_go2
- mylinks
- tag
- xdonations
- xforms
- xlanguage
- xoopsfaq
- xoopsheadline
- xoopspoll
- xsitemap
Short description is missing to this, for some avaman may says something, but I was away few years, so this means nothing to me. Mastop_go2 too, what left for new commers.
If I remeber right, XOOPS 2.0.18 was:
Core, FAQ, News, Links, Downloads, Forum, Polls, Contact, Headlines, Users, Sections (variety of contents)
Don't know where from comes XForms, but as what I'm reading from the language files, it looks like an very earlier version (PR) of Formularize 3 RC1 - 10% of that module.
Current XOOPS 2.5.5 should look like this (and will look in my distribution:
Core 2.5.5, including PMS and Profile
RMCommon (Bitcero)
My Words (Bitcero) - just waiting for the english files
Contact Me (Bitcero) - ----|| -----
Galleries (Bitcero) - no EN_GB
News 1.66 (Herve, trabis)
Tag (this should be, core feature, same as comments, plus global categories)
D3Downloads or RMDownloads if Bitcero fix it, RMD is best of the best options in his class, just a bit broken.
HappyLinux Framework (
http://linux2.ohwada.net/)
Web Links (
http://linux2.ohwada.net/) -
http://xoops.cmsbg.info/modules/weblinks/Altsys
XOOPS Polls or Umfarge (still can't decide)
D3Forum
Happy Search (improved search engine for xoops, by happy linux)
sitemap (by happy linux)
Optionally there will be:
MyTube 1.5 (by macdonald) -
http://xoops.cmsbg.info/modules/mytube/viewcat.php?op=&cid=1wflinks 1.07 (by catzwolf, macdonald) -
http://xoops.cmsbg.info/modules/wflinks/viewcat.php?cid=1wfdownloads 3.2 rc2 (marcan, catzwolf)
newbb (mamba, catzwolf)
fmcontent (voltan)
xTBSource (wishcraft)
RSSC Headline (no problems with UTF-8)
RSS Center (both by Happy Linux)
Web Photo (gallery by happy linux)
Google Map (by HL)
Liaise 1.26 patched by HL
This pack is enough to start playing with XOOPS, even to make your own community system, everything required is included, rest "options" should be available from Xoops.org/downloads . From well sorted, not outdated /downloads.
Later if there is 2.5.6 version, will try to get some info from current developers base regarding SEF URL's for maintained modules (there should be sample .htaccess per module anyway).
Also in 2.5.5 at least one theme should be with Text Generator for site name/slogan. And for 2.5.6 will try to get such theme.
