FreeXoopServices team is pleased to announce the release of TDMDownloads 1.61 final.

List of bug fixes

bug in field.php (class moduleadmin not found) (Mage).

List of improvements

Using Frameworks "ModuleClasses" 1.1 (Mage).

Important

- The module uses the Framework "ModuleClasses", it is necessary to install it on your site.
- The module works only on xoops 2.5x

BTW, my site is running on 1.5, do you have an "How to upgrade" instruction in hand ?

Installation

1- You have to delete the existent folder "TDMDownloads" in "modules".

2- Upload the new folder "TDMDownloads" to your server in the "modules" folder.

3- Update the module.

4- Go to each block, then edit the options (important to insure the function of the blocks).

5- If you overloaded your templates, it will be necessary to update them.

I get a blank page when I import files from wfdownloads? Does someone know the problem.

Hi Mage,

I installed on my local system and it installed ok.

I am just testing the module. so for so good, I think I am not setting the group permission correctly or something is not right. let me complete the testing I will post the result.

You can turn this into a downloads shop very quickly by adding a table that records the IP and Netaddy of someone then lodges and invoice with XPayment. The XPayment plugin for TDMDownloads will then notify the table when payment is recieved with the PaidTmdDownloadsHook() function and allow for the file to be downloaded. I suggest you add this so people can sell their downloads.

Hello,
TDMDownloads version 1.62 is not a validated! I do not recommend installing this version because for me it's buggy, xpayment not working properly! Wishcraft thank you to propose your version under a different name or if you want I integrate your changes, you must fix bugs in your module!

Mage is correct on this. If you want to make changes/improvements to a module, the best way is to create a branch with your changes and then submit to the module author for review. I talked with Wishcraft about it and moved his changes to /branches under his name

So there is no official TDMDownloads 1.62, because only Mage can make that release. However, if you like the features that Wishcraft is suggesting, please help him in debugging of the xPayment module and its integration with TDMDownloads, so Mage could include them in the future releases.

If you have many downloads and screenshots with all the downloads you might like the option of a thumbnail scroller on each category page.

When you hover over the image you get the name and clicking the image takes you to the details page.

If you want to create QRCodes on your download page like so :

Do the following :

1. Install the QRCode module as any other module
2. In the TDMDownloads folder open "singlefile.php".
3. After include_once 'header.php'; put the following code:

$GLOBALS['qrcode_module'] = $xoModule->getVar('isactive'); // Module Installed Code whether active or not }

include_once XOOPS_ROOT_PATH."/modules/qrcode/qrcode.php";     }

4. at approx. line 100 add the following ( Just after $xoopsTpl->assign('logourl' , $logourl); )

 $furl['url'] = XOOPS_URL."/modules/TDMDownloads/visit.php?cid=".$view_downloads->getVar('cid')."&lid=".$lid; 
if ($GLOBALS['qrcode_module']==true) { 
$qr=qrcode("url",$furl,150); 
$xoopsTpl->assign('qrcode' , $qr); }

5. In TDMDownloads/templates open "tdmdownloads_singlefile.html"
6. Before the Paypal Div insert :

 <{if $qrcode}> 
<p align="center"><{$qrcode}>p> 
<{/if}>

That's it. All your downloads will now have a QRCode on their page.

btw.. adding new mimetypes (in this case for rar files) doesn't work.
I checked the files mimetype and entered it in, but I always get mimetype not recognized. Looks like it has to do with the XoopsMediaUploader ?? since you do pass the allowed mimetypes to it and I know I have the correct mimetype entered.

So can I make a copy of the TDMDownloads folder, rename it and install it? Will it use different tables and such ?

I hope you can help me.

I installed the module on Xoops 2.5.5 on server windows.

I have the same problem as just above .... I have to upload/download files of a game program using proprietary language files type ".Gbx"

I tried to put in the file "includes/mimetypes.php" the string

Quote:

'Gbx' => 'application/octet-stream' ,

and also

Quote:

'Gbx' => 'application/Gbx' ,

And then add this in module preferences , but the answer always is something like : This type of file is not authorized in this site/server as octet-stream file.

Any idea ?

What means "both the module" ? I did as follows :

1) in includes/mimetypes.php I added 'Gbx' => 'application/octet-stream'
2) in TDNDownloads preverences I added |application/octet-stream/Gbx|

what else ?

I have to tell you the module CBB 3.08 regularly upload and download Gbx files.

Updated module to 1.63 beta

Now users ( and admin ) can upload Gbx files too. ASAP I will check if 'max file size' setting is running well.

I saw a couple of problems in "search.php"

1) in 1.63 version listing doesn't work ( I saw only an item ) ; I overwrited with old 1.62 of search.php and the list come back complete.

2) in both version the "onchange" functions of search don't work

A couple of suggestions (maybe I could have others, but I just start to use the module) :

a) I would see appropriate to give a "done" page to user if download uploading is regularly gone at end ( now the system just return to download main page ).
Something like : "thanks for your download submission, as soon as possible, the admins will approve your document"

b) Maybe the withe cross on red beckground is not the more appropriate button for "approve" function ...
