Page 30: Here we talk about moving the directories outside of the root and then updating the mainfile. Isn't it better to move the directories before the installation? That way you won't have to update the mainfile.
Some servers are not configured to have PHP files outside the root.
It is better to have a smooth installation first and then moving the directories. If it then stops working, the cause of failure is known.

Can the installation guide not set up for use also with older acrobat reader versions?

Not really related to the guide, but since it's touched upon: Why don't we distribute the installer with more languages? I'm in the process of doing a full Swedish translation, including the installer and editors...

The file is good. Maybe you need to update your Acrobat Reader.

The PDF version for this document is 1.5, i.e. it should open with Acrobate 6.x and higher.

Yeah the license file needs to be writable by the installation, on services which do not have the correct definition for permission you may get that error message.

ON most system php is able to write files and so on, if it isn't you will have to chmod /include/license.php for 777.. Just like the main file, you have to be careful with this file in later upgrades the file is chmod'd back to 444 when it is finalized.. do not write over this file, you can generate it again if you do by running the upgrade.

Thanks for including the instructions I wrote for upgrading an existing mature installation. It may not be the easy way, but it's what we needed to have for those that make various changes to their installations. However, maybe put the easy way first, with a a disclaimer that it's for those that never make changes to any of their files and such.

The pictures and Warnings and such are a good addition. There are a couple of places where it says 'existent' when you mean 'existing', but otherwise a great step forward for XOOPS documentation.

Many thanks!
