You could already had your answer if you used the search form.
Please do a "repair" on your session table.

this happens to me even with Xoops.org site if i use IE i get the logging welcome message but i go back to sign in again but with mozilla fire fox i have no problem on the other hand on my website when this problem happens i go to the Session tabel and rper it . that works

I Have the same problem i am running protector module. every time i login it says thank you for loggin in when i click on adminstration it will say you are not allowed it will kick me out.

now i am running anynoums proxy it is working like charm now.

Thanks guys, its happening to me on here too now as it took me three attempt to post my last reply so i gave up an posted this instead once i managed to stay logged on long enough to do so.

So it looks like a XOOPS issue rather than a problem with my own installation and setup.

Just for reference i'm replying to this using IE 7.0.6

i have just adjusted the site to custom session , will report back if the problem is still apparent
JAVesey, if the offer of help is still valid, then yes , i would appreciate the help sorting the protector module out for the site

yeah for sure, whenever you have spare time
i have tried both things now and even chnaged the enableRegenerateId to FALSE and still get the same result
i am at a loss now :(
