Hi MaFIa,

That is my site you are refering too

As was mentioned by Ghia above, I have hacked the templates so it's appearance no longer looks like part of the standard (now abandoned) package of XCGal.

What part is it you are wanting to replicate?, I may be able to offer a little assistance but please remember, im not a code so go easy on me, lol

I did share a few of the hacks with this community a couple of years back!

The hack for the Blog, HTML & BB Code page view can be found here

The lightbox hack can be found by clicking here

I do hope this post is of some use to you!

Regards

EDIT: If you are refering to the main gallery landing page rather than the image display page setup this can be chaged quite easily too. Check in the admin page for XCGal and look for the setting entitled 'Album list view: The content of the main page' and put the following setting in the text box 'lastcom/alblist/catlist/lastup,2'

More info about the above config settings can be found here but keep in mind some of the options do NOT work!

Hi Optikool,

You are correct in the way this is to be configued when using static images from the same directory.
Unfortunatly with XCgal calling images dynamicaly its not possible to do this using the standard setup.

I belive kerkyra has the correct idea on how this should be implemented but i do not have a clue as to where to start implementing there suggestions.

Hi All

Its been well over 6 months since i published the original Lightbox hack for xcGal but i am still having the issue of the "Previous" and "Next" function.

I still can not find a way to hack this last little feature into xcGal, is anybody able to shed any further light on this before i give up please?

Thanks in advance

Stuart

Hi,

Not really a fix to the problem you are having but you could try an alternative display oprion using my lightbox hack as this avoids using the javascript for popping up a new window.

check here for further information.

Hope that helps

OK, i have sussed out the problem after a lot of searching i have found the solution on a japanese site so i thought i should post it here in case anybody else has the same issues.

The problems appears to be a corrupt module record in the database and nothing to do with the code in my first post.

*** make a backup of your database before proceeding any further ***

Open up the 'xoops_xoopsnotifications' table using something like PHPMYADMIN to browse the database you will see a row id of "not_modid", sort by this field name and delete all listing from the first number and if that fails move onto the next one until you find the not_modid which is causing the issue.

Alternativly you could just Empty the table and notify your members to reset their notifications.

Hope this is of some help to somebody.

Hi All,

I have revently upgraded to the latest version of XOOPS (2.0.18.1) and i am now getting an blank page on notifications.php

When i enable debug i get the following:

Quote:
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in mysite/public_html/notifications.php on line 96

The line of code this refers to is this:

$modules[$modid] = array ('id'=>$modid'name'=>$module->getVar('name'), 'categories'=>array());

Can anybody offer any solutions to this please?

I have tried different themes ect... but this does not at first appear the be the problem.

Has anybody had any joy as yet in getting the 'Previous' and 'Next' buttons when viewing a full size image in Lightbox working with XcGal ?

Hi mrphilong,

Leaving out the first part as per your suggestion will NOT display the whole URL including the Domain Name and full path to the image.

As i said, i am not a programmer so there may be an easier way to get the full path but i dont know how.

Thanks for the feedback anyway

Hi,

I am using lightbox in extgallery, maybe you can help me:

1.) What is the difference between extgallry and xcgal?
2.) I have the link "Plus d'infos et commentaires" in the lightbox view of an image (it takes you back to the image in the gallery) - How can I change this to english?

Regards,

Paul

Hi Paul,

I presume you are using extgallery as that module is developed by a very tallented French developer so may i suggest along the same lines as Mambo and check your Gallery Module language files as there may be some French information in the language file that may require changing to the English equivalent.

There are no language files in the Lightbox file i supplied so if you are using this then its down to the module language files to display the info you are seeing.

The same applies if you are using xcGal but i would say the first part of this answer applies in your case.

Here is another simple hack for people that wish to add direct linking code, [img] tags etc. to displayed image pages for use in other Forums, Gallerys, Email and Blogs

Example can be seen here half way down the page.

Open /modules/xcgal/templates/xcgal_display.html and find the following lines of code
<td class="<{cycle name="keys" values="even,odd"}>" valign="top" nowrap><{$info.key}>:</td>
        <
td class="<{cycle name="values" values="even,odd"}>"><{$info.value}></td>
    </
tr>
  <{/foreach}>
 </
table>
</
div><br />

directly below the above on the next line paste the following code
<table width="100%" border="1" align="center">
// bb, img and html code hack by stuie200 @ xoops.org
<form>
  <
tr>
    <
td class="Head">Use this image in  your Forums or Blogs</td>
  </
tr>
  <
tr>
    <
td class="odd"><div align="center"><strong>Share URL - </strong>Email &ampIM </div></td>
  </
tr>
  <
tr>
    <
td align="center"><textarea name="DirectLink" cols=90 rows="4" readonly="readonly" id="DirectLink" style="text-align:center; padding-top:10px; padding-left:10px; padding-right:10px; overflow:hidden" onFocus="this.select()"><{$xoops_url}>/modules/xcgal/<{$picture_url}></textarea></td>
  </
tr>
  <
tr>
    <
td class="odd"><div align="center"><strong>Direct  Link - </strong>Layout Pages </div></td>
  </
tr>
  <
tr>
    <
td align="center"><textarea name="DirectLink" cols=90 rows="4" readonly="readonly" id="DirectLink" style="text-align:center; padding-top:10px; padding-left:10px; padding-right:10px; overflow:hidden" onFocus="this.select()"><{$xoops_url}>/modules/xcgal/<{$picture_url}></textarea></td>
  </
tr>
  <
tr>
    <
td class="odd"><div align="center"><strong>HTML Code - </strong>Websites &ampBlogs </div></td>
  </
tr>
  <
tr>
    <
td align="center"><textarea name="Blogs" cols=90 rows=4 readonly="readonly" id="Blogs" style="text-align:center; padding-top:10px; padding-left:10px; padding-right:10px; overflow:hidden" onFocus="this.select()"><img src="<{$xoops_url}>/modules/xcgal/<{$picture_url}>"></textarea></td>
  </
tr>
  <
tr>
    <
td class="odd"><div align="center"><strong>IMG Code - </strong>Forums &ampBulletin Boards </div></td>
  </
tr>
  <
tr>
    <
td align="center"><textarea name="Forums" cols=90 rows=4 readonly="readonly" id="Forums" style="text-align:center; padding-top:10px; padding-left:10px; padding-right:10px; overflow:hidden" onFocus="this.select()">[img]<{$xoops_url}>/modules/xcgal/<{$picture_url}>[/img]</textarea></td>
  </
tr></form>
</
table>

Save, upload and then update the xcgal module for changes to apply.

The code is very crude but it does work very well. Maybe somebody can take this and improve on it.

Hope its of some help to somebody

Regards
