Just a quick report - we're making great progress with SmartFactory on this newsletter mailer - now known as "SmartMail"

The development team is just incredible.

SmartMail will have support for:

- Multiple newsletters
- Automatic rules for periodic dispatches
- Flexible content generation
- Bounce checking
- Throttle checking
- Scalability
- Paid subscriptions via additional XOOPS modules

Stay tuned for more developments.

PS: If you'd like to help sponsor this much needed addition to the XOOPS toolbox, please PM me.

What great news! Way too long in coming. Thanks again SmartFactory!

Did you ever post a contribution link?

Is this module released already?

Status report on "SmartMail"...

Subscription script foundations done and in testing
Newsletter authoring foundations complete and in testing
Mail sending script development underway

Early next week we'll have a partial demo up and running - of at least the subscription script. It's a complex script taking into account many subscriber scenerios - already registered but not logged in, logged in and subscribing, not registered and subscribing...

Stay tuned for demo URL address.

Still on target for Aug release of working module. Not sure if we'll be beta or RC yet.

Quick question.

I am looking for a Mailing List Module.

I go to many websites. Where users just have to input there email address and press submit.

Will this module have that capability?

And will this module be made Free to the XOOPS public?
